I think Chris Matthews has had the best RNC coverage....
He's had some real fireworks ! I thought Laura Ingraham was going to go at with another panelist tonight...Chris had to tell her to shut up a couple of times.. :) He's had the most interesting guests and commentary, in my opinion. Ron Reagan was good too.

1. If Ron Reagan wasn't there, I wouldn't watch.
I'm a big fan of Ron's, just starting recently in fact.

2. First she was nasty to Ron Reagan, then I saw her going after Gergan.
A little pissy tonight, huh?

I didn't see the whole thing. Any other details?

3. I love to see someone take Laura Ingraham to the woodshed
and verbally whack the crap out of her.

Like Rush, Hannity and O'Reilly she daily pontificates, lampoons, distorts, lies and misleads without a shred of opposition.

6. I love that they've spent at least 1/3 of this evening NOT talking about
Bush's speech, but Kerry's response to it.

7. I love Ron Reagan.....
but he has to get better in getting himself in the conversation....it seems like he is always trying to get a word in and then someone shouts over him and he backs off.....

9. Did any catch Tweety outing Zell Miller?
I think it was just a slip o' the tongue, but Matthews called him a Conservative Republican from the South," or something extremely close to that.

Anybody besides me hear that?

12. Well, after Zell melted down Gatlin had one, too
Everybody see Ron Reagan interviewing one of the Gatlin Brothers last night?

Oh, lordy - he melted down when a heckler in the crowd said something, went on a rant and then challenged the guy to a fight. Then he tried singing, argued more, got nasty with Ron Reagan, had a few more words with crowd. Proclaimed himself "BIG STAR" and for everyone else to shut up. LOL! I have visions of Bush/Cheney/Rove and Co. melting like the wicked With of the West - I'm melting, I'm melting, I'm melting.

Okay, what came first - the crazy, mean, weird person who became a repug by virtue of the personality traits, or you are automatically a repug because you are crazy, mean and weird? One of the eternal chicken or the egg questions for the ages.

11. I am liking Matthews more and more
I think he must have a pet peeve for people trying to sneak outrageous accusations in like he's too stupid to know what he's doing (like Malkin saying Kerry shot himself on purpose or Zell's lunacy about Kerry) so he immediately calls them on it. It's a great strategy. If Malkin says "yes, I'm saying Kerry shot himself on purpose" she looks like even more of a nutjob, and if they try and back out of it, they look like weasels.

14. It's Called Doing "Journalism"
Most here aren't familiar with it since we haven't seen it in action over the past 3 years.

Tweety's got a blood feud developed with Rove...it must have started with the Plame situation and got worse with Malkin and now I'll be curious where it goes after this Miller mess. Tweety's had to play nice to get the best guests he could for his TV treehouse in NYC, but now he doesn't need to.

I've seen a big shift in this program in recent weeks, along with Olberman; whose been a rock on that network for a while and even Norville (she skewered one of the slimeboaters).

Ron Reagan is a delight...he even makes Scarface Joey seem human.

Hands down, MSNBC and Rick Kaplan have done a great job on the Conventions and is now the "go-to" network for the remainder of this election.

Cheers!

they've provided too little voice to Democrats, as has every news network in stark contrast to Boston.
