1. Palin is nowhere near as cool as Elly Mae Clampett.
Besides, Elly Mae loved animals, and they loved her. Palin likes to shoot them from helicopters.

But I always perceived Uncle Fester as a gruff, grumpy old man with just enough electricity to light a low watt bulb. I admit I don't know him personally.
