Sarah Palin should be held accountable like any other misogynist for her display of sexism Thursday
Who the hell does she think she is to stand up there as a candidate for the second highest office in the land and spout forth the bizarre notion that only women can understand what it's like to feel so deeply for their children?

1. Exactly--if the RW can get away with calling Obama a racist...
...we should be able to recognize that Sarah Palin is a sexist pig.

2. I think Biden held her accountable....
and quite eloquently.

3. Yup, Joe was eloquent. Still, Palin is getting off scott free from the pundits about her sexism
Nurturing fathers everywhere should be offended, just like Joe was.

5. That's true. She should have been nailed on that...
by the pundits.

Palin herself could have won over a lot of people if, after Biden spoke, she had had the presence of mind to say, "I apologize for sounding like I was giving no credit to the fathers out there struggling. I know my family would be lost without the love and hard work of my husband Todd...". You get the idea. She could have used that moment to make herself look thoughtful, grateful, and--well--NICE. But I don't think Palin is a very nice person.

8. I agree, I don't think she's a nice person either
Our guys are nice people, though. :)

Aint that the truth. Only thing is, that wasn't one of the scripts she memorized before the debate, so it was out of the question that she could ever think of something like that on her own.

14. Rachel Maddow was the only one I heard address that.
How Palin didn't even acknowledge that moment.

18. I just watched her show (I recorded it last night) and she framed it perfectly
noting that Palin lost all pretense of folkiness and warmth by NOT acknowledging Biden's moment. God, I love Rachel.

4. It was disgusting to me. I've fought for equality in the workplace
for a couple of decades, from the early days of integration of the WAC (Women's Army Corps) into the regular Army from more. To have someone wink repeatedly during a job interview for one of the highest offices of the land set back females being taken seriously in the workplace and getting equal pay too.

I hope Alaska doesn't ever reelect that poltical whore.

10. Okay - I'm going to get catty here.
I really had a problem with this:

She has a great figure - and she is pretty...in a glamourous way (makeup, hair)
BUT she is running to be VP. That outfit belonged at a cocktail party.

There is a difference between class and trash.
Save the skin-tight outfits for when you are out with Tawd.

Maybe she never heard the saying 'dress for success'.

11. I agree with you except
Edited on Sat Oct-04-08 06:26 PM by mtnsnake
for the part about her being pretty. I agree she's got an okay body but I don't think she's pretty. There's something about her face, I'm not exactly sure what it is, that is purely revolting. It's just hard to put my finger on it. Then, when her mouth opens up and she starts talking her jibberish, she turns to outright disgusting and revolting. :)

13. She does have pretty eyes, and I am an eye person - but-

there's no warmth coming from them, no sparkle.
And that, to me, is what makes a person really beautiful.

She seems so robotic that it takes away from her good looks.

She's got eyes just liek her sister the runaway bride:

what a twisted bitch! You are running for VP,woman, not for a G-string only spot in Lipstick Men's Club.
