"Todd and I, we'd be happy to get to Michigan" WTF
Palin is currently under investigation, and one of the critizms is how much her husband was involved in her Administration.

So now she is on the VP slot for the Repukes and she says:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081004/ap_on_el_pr/palin
"Todd and I, we'd be happy to get to Michigan and walk through those plants of the car manufacturers," Palin said, referring to her husband. "We'd be so happy to get to speak to the people in Michigan who are hurting because the economy is hurting."

Todd?? she can't go by herself to MI? Who is watching the baby, Is she and Todd going to be meeting heads of state? If so we need to be vetting Todd a lot more than we have so far.

Not that I think they are going to win mind you, but if she is draggin him along on campaign stops
and she already has a history of letting him be and intricate part of her Gov. Administration.
We need to pay a little more attention to the snowmobile guy

1. Everything about her turns my stomach
When I read the words she says, I hear her fake mid-western accent ringing in my ears. I hate her use of grammar. I don't find it charming or funny.

I hope she goes to "those plants of the car manufacturers" and that the employees let her hear it.

9. Well, it must be hard to bond to your grandchild while you're pretending it's your own!

13. That was interesting. I didn't think about midwesterners
moving to Alaska during the Great Depression. I've not heard Palin's parents speak. I wonder if they have the accent .

14. I haven't heard her parents either.
I live in Minnesota and grew up in western Wisconsin so it's essentially the same accent. What Palin has ( to me, anyway ) sounds like "Fargo" times ten plus a touch of Canadian.

15. I lived in Mpls from 1983-86 (in Eagan)
Through osmosis, I picked up a bit of an accent while living there. I know what you mean though. She does sound like "Fargo" and a bit of Canadian too (I have cousins in Sask and BC).

4. Remember when McCain toured the auto plant last month?
He was chased out while the workers chanted "Obama!"
