will think back a few years.... Gray Davis not so gray in comparison to what Ahnold hath wrought in Kollyfournyeeah. Heh. Ahnold, kind to the Kenneth Lay's of the world, tough on the taxpayer. Pity that. 1300 homes going into foreclosure daily in the big C. Bill Clinton hang your head in shame, it's all your fault you know.

Schwarzenegger Accused of Involvement in $9B California Swindle with Enron’s Ken Lay

Investigative reporter Greg Palast reveals how Republican gubernatorial candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger is part of a larger scheme to help Enron and other power companies avoid paying back $9 billion in illicit profits by replacing Gov. Gray Davis.

1. The fact that Arnold was a plant was obvious from the beginning
of the recall against Grey Davis. Yet, those politicians and other power brokers who could have circled their wagons around him to defeat this recall, didn't. Some of them even ran for Governor against Arnold instead.

2. I'd still ike to know what Schwarzenegger was doing at a private meeting with Lay...
at a Los Angeles hotel. Was that the night he was told he was about to be installed as CA Gov by way of recall? In fact I don't need the answer, I can read between the lines.

3. Gray Davis was a crappy Gov. but the only reason for Ahnuld to run
was to get Enron off the hook. Everyone knew that but the voters acted like a bunch of star struck teenagers by voting this asshole in. After he did his thing with the energy crooks his act was shot. He's far worse than Davis ever was and arguably the weakest and most hamstrung governor in recent memory.

There was talk of a recall movement a few weeks ago but I haven't heard anything recently. Is that still going on and if so where can I get some petitions to circulate. I'll bet I can get a hundred sigs within my circle of friends.

5. the recall law in california is nuts.
davis received far more votes in the recall than arnold received in his run. at least 10% more people wanted davis but arnold got in. complete bullshit. like bush, he shouldn't be there, but the repubs are really good at stealing votes and offices. and the dems don't seem to care.

6. I'd say recall him, but they'd probably end up with Robert Duvall.
