The Dow could well sink below 10,000 today. That will wipe Ayers
right off the map. I don't that it will, but Dow futures are currently down over 200 points. In an economic environment like this one, it's almost impossible for any other issue to become ascendant. And tomorrow's the debate. If the Dow keeps falling and other economic news is dire and McCain tries to shift the conversation to Ayers, etc, he's going to take a beating.

We're nearing general public panic mode on the economy.

1. I just saw a news story this morning about how ordinary Americans are being effected by the bailout
People unable to get car loans. Businesses unable to get credit from banks...and their businesses closing as a result.

It's really hitting home now. And NO ONE is going to give a fuck about Ayers or Wright or any of that crap.

6. Was that on TV or Internet?
If you could find that story online and provide a link to that story I'd appreciate it, thanks. 8-)

3. When the dominoes start to fall, you can't stop them until every last one
has tumbled.

The $700 billion was suppose to stall this until after the election. It didn't seem to work.

Will just piss people aff as their economic future is destroyed, all they want to do is talk about nonsense, and the electorate knows it.

12. It may wipe us all off the map.
I'd rather have a bunch of silly mudslinging arguments than an unstable economy.

22. are you kidding? first of all, the obvious: The economy and market
were the top stories all day. And they'll be the top stories tomorrow. And the reality of something like war may be far removed for many people, but the reality of retirement funds vaporizing, of jobs lost, of college for the kids vanishing- those hit close to home and scare the hell out of people.
