***Obama Campaign Response to Ayers on MSNBC Shortly Via Robert Gibbs***
No more speculation. Robert Gibbs is set to appear on Morning JOe shortly, and I'm sure he'll be asked about this. We will hear the official Obama campaign talking points about this through him. IF you are up, tune in!

1. Robert Gibbs will have to take a figurative shower to wash off "The Morning Joe" FILTH.
Joey the Scar and his "abuse spouse" acting side-kick Mika are as trashy as it comes. Don't get me started about Joe's trained chimp, Willy.

4. I do not understand this woman.
One day she acts like a country mouse and then the next she mouths off and speaks the truth. I don't get it.

5. Sometimes I think that Mika doesn't know where she stands
She seems somewhat immature for her age. Maybe she's still growing up.

13. If you've ever worked with "abused spouses" you'll understand Mika's behavior.

I too had older brothers who would often harass my person as the only girl in the family. Since I was so much younger, their antics were often times cruel. For example, it was a game when they were left to babysit me to have "a contest" about who could get me to pee my pants the fastest due to fear and tickling the bottoms of my feet. Also, coming into my room with sheets over their heads when I was very young terrorized my early childhood.

However, I emerged from the experience defiant. Often times my father would validate my assertiveness by quipping to me that "I was his favorite son" because I would stand by and help him remodel houses without always trying to out-smart him. Also, I was the only child to be Commissioned into the Regular Army ... just like Dad.

Oh yes, I have issues from the profound mistreatment in early childhood and during my early years in the newly integrated (from WACs) Army during the late 70s and early 80s. However, I have a sense of pride that none of those "hang-ups" would permit me to put up with patriarchal assholes like Joe Scarborough. I couldn't spend five minutes with him without us figuratively "mixing it up."

It's a travesty, IMNSHO, that Joe Scarborough, an undisputed misogynist, right wing FREAK still has a morning cable TV show.

I do NOT know exactly what Mika's "emotional issues" are but what comes out sideways in her behavior swings (assertive-submissive) is very disturbing to watch ... especially for professional women who have experienced profound sexism both within family and work place settings. :(

19. SPOT ON, from a social worker ...
I did 15 years of grass roots social work, 6 years of education, and countless professional trainings, and 15 years of working with families at risk of having their children placed. I saw abusive fathers in every shape and form, domestic violence in every shape and form.

And, outside of it's fundie type bias, I find "Morning Joe" to be completely unwatchable, cause it is the complete TEXTBOOK of an abusive family, with "Joe" being the prototype controlling/abusive father. 15 years of having to deal with jackoffs like him professionally, I don't need to see it watching a cable "news" show.

18. I think what is was is that Mika wanted to give Palin one more chance and Palin blew it
Edited on Mon Oct-06-08 08:10 AM by Mike Daniels
Just before last week's debate Mika said something about wanting Palin to do well in the debate because it could effect how people saw the viability of a possible female POTUS in the future. I guess since Hillary didn't get either nomination Mika didn't see her as the test case.

The next day, Mika basically said of Palin "well, in light of where the bar was set she did O.K. but she didn't prove she's capable of being president."

Since then, Mika (at least when I'm watching) has been pretty dismissive of Palin as a candidate to where she basically accused Joe and Pat B. today of thinking with their dicks re: their continued enthusiasm for/defense of Palin.

3. I am watching him right now.
"They want to turn the page on the economy.." Very true. Unfortunately, they will not be able to turn the page on an issue that we are dealing with on a daily basis. Unemployment....High gas prices...The cost of food...No bank savings. They will not be able to turn the page in the next four weeks.

8. Obama is a great political counterpuncher
He gets in some good attacks, but he always makes sure that his opponent looks like he or she (sorry Hillary :hi:) is the one who appears to have the low road campaign.
