(McCain adviser) "If we keep talking about the economic crisis, we're going to lose."
http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Obama_documentary_to_examine_McCains_Keating_1006.html

The Associated Press said Palin's remarks "carried a racially tinged subtext" that may damage the GOP ticket.

Struggling to shift focus away from the economy and reverse a nearly month-long slide in the polls, McCain's campaign has indicated it is willing to roll the dice with a string of Obama smears.

"It's a dangerous road, but we have no choice," a top McCain strategist told the New York Daily News. "If we keep talking about the economic crisis, we're going to lose."

Republicans are reportedly preparing attacks based on even-more-tangential Obama associations with foreign names like Rashid Khalidi and Ali Abunimah.

Ad hominem attacks, the last bastion of the intellectually bankrupt.

3. It's like the markets joined us today in saying: "not this time."

It is sad that it takes a crisis to get there, but the smears will not work this year.

4. That's not true.
They're going to lose no matter what they talk about.

Because no matter what they talk about, people will be thinking about the economy.

They can run, but they cannot hide.

5. LOL. If we talk about the country's biggest problem, we lose.

6. Instant black vote super charged energizer. That's what this will become...
and the young black kids will come out to vote en mass. Middle aged black folk will come out en mass. Our beloved grandparents will come out en mass.

So let them continue the racist/racially tinged pukefest because all it will do is drive us out to the polls and make the 60's look like a John Mccain rally.

7. It was on September 2 that McCain's campaign manager said
that this election would not be about the issues.
