4. That's from Andrew Halcro, I presume,

who ran against Sarah as an independent in 2006. I check his blog quite often http://www.andrewhalcro.com/ . He's been relentlessly on Sarah Palin's case for at least the past two and a half years and since he was a Republican and probably is again now, I appreciate his opinions of Sarah as seen from "the other side." He was one of the first to question Sarah's firing of Walt Monegan, connecting it to Trooper Mike Wooten.

7. Don't you just love Mudflats?
Edited on Mon Oct-06-08 01:48 PM by Blue_In_AK
We have such great progressive bloggers up here. I feel like the nation owes a huge debt of gratitude to them because the MSM would never have picked up a lot of these stories if they hadn't first been brought up by the locals who have been paying attention and know where to go to get the facts. Mudflats, Shannyn, Phil Munger (ProgressiveAlaska), Gryphen (The Immoral Minority), Writing Raven (AlaskaReal), Linda Kellen-Biegel (Celtic Diva's Blue Oasis), Halcro (and I'm sure I'm forgetting some) absolutely ROCK.

8. Gov. Palin is a Sociopath, arroagant,,viscious, inept & corrupt .
Alaskans need to mount a Recall Petition & toss her out. She is corrupt & inept. The vetting process of her becoming Gov. must have been almost non existent. Her abuses while Gov. have been ignored until recently. The spotlight now has revealed her unethical & perhaps criminal actions as Gov. She screwed up by accepting the VP position that is way beyond her level & has brought about scrutiny of her as Mayor & Gov. She is unfit to be Gov., much less VP or possibly Pres. of the USA.

11. You are so correct.

I think Alaskans were somewhat blind-sided in 2006 because Sarah's predecessor, Frank Murkowski, was just SO horrible, fairly universally detested in the state, with the lowest approval rating of any governor in the country. Most of the pre-election media coverage that Sarah had gotten statewide had to do with her "calling out" of some of the corrupt members of her own party's establishment, so she gave the appearance of being ethical at least, independent, and somewhat nonpartisan, which was something people were clamoring for. Wasillans were extremely tight-lipped about her tenure as mayor, for whatever reason. Most of what has come out in the past month about her abuses of power in that office had not been widely publicized up until now.

She seems to have had an uncanny ability to dodge the "vetting" process. McCain didn't vet her either. Everyone here was amazed when she was picked. It was widely reported that NO ONE in Alaska was asked anything about her by the McCain campaign -- no friends, no enemies, no Republicans, no Democrats, no one in our state government, no neighbors, not a soul. Even her allies who have approved of her performance as governor could have told him she wasn't ready to be VP.

Now that we DO know these things, Alaskans will be looking at her with a much more critical eye going forward. I personally hope her political career will be finished.

Check the comments. Sarah's tactics aren't going over too well here.
