6. What a slaughter
The Fed will cut rates by a full point tomorrow and most of this will be recouped, IMVHO. Still, the inevitable pull is downward and to a lengthy bear.

26. And cutting rates will drive inflation
We need some real leadership in the WH to deal with this mess. It's going to be a difficult 5 years or so.

27. The circuit breakers are percentage-based
10% and 20% losses halt trading for various periods of time, based on the time of day the loss happens.

A 30% drop causes a close for the day, regardless of what time it happens.

Last time I checked (a few minutes ago) the loss was just under 7%.

17. We'd be starting 770 points higher had McSame not scuttled the first Bailout deal
And things might not have gotten so crazy.

We've got to blame some of this on McSame and his playing politics with the financial crisis.

28. This is part of the reason I wasn't sure about the bailout
Nobody seemed to really prove to me that the bailout would save the economy. I know the bailout hasn't really been implemented but the fact that it passed should have "restored confidence"...at least according to what we were told.
