Fla. Sheriff Plays The “Hussein” Card At Palin Event

(FORT MYERS, FLA.) - Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott took the stage moments ago as one of the introductory speakers at a rally here for Sarah Palin. After delivering brief remarks in support of Palin, Sheriff Scott flipped the switch and used Barack Obama’s middle name in order to incite the crowd of thousands of people who have already gathered here.

“On Nov. 4, let’s leave Barack Hussein Obama wondering what happened,” the law enforcement officer said.

Many of the thousands of people in attendance roared their approval at Sheriff Scott’s dig at the Democratic nominee, whose Kenyan father shared the same exact name as his son.

Palin Plays Fear Card on Obama
ABC News' Imtiyaz Delawala Reports: Republican vice presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin invoked fear for the first time when discussing Sen. Barack Obama’s connection to former 60’s radical William Ayers.

“I am just so fearful that this is not a man who sees America the way that you and I see America -- as the greatest source for good in this world,” Palin said of Obama to 2,000 supporters at a rally in Clearwater, Florida this morning. “I'm afraid this someone who sees America as imperfect enough to work with a former domestic terrorist who had targeted his own country.”

“This, ladies and gentlemen, has nothing to do with the kind of change that anyone can believe in, not my kids, not for your kids,” Palin added.

While Palin had raised Obama’s connection to Ayers at rallies and fundraisers in the last two days, she had never said she was “fearful” in her remarks until this morning.

I have a nice Arab name and the way these people spit out Hussein, as if that's a reason not to vote for Obama really makes me feel unwelcome in my own country. My family has bled for this one in multiple wars, but our names aren't good enough?

You know what is new since 9/11? When i'm in somewhere in public where my name appears or is read aloud, I get nervous in nearly all venues (other than my Unitarian Universalist church) and I see people look at me.

So Fuck You, Mike Scott. Barack HUSSEIN Obama is going to be your next President, and he's so much better a man than YOUR sorry ass it's not even close.
