McCain to get more aggressive: 'Who is the real Barack Obama?'

(CNN) — John McCain is slated to raise questions about Barack Obama's background and question the Illinois senator's truthfulness at a rally in New Mexico later Monday, one day before the two White House hopefuls square off at the second presidential debate.

The comments, which come hours after Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin publicly questioned Obama's patriotism while raising questions about his connections to onetime radical William Ayers, are among McCain's harshest language to date on the campaigning trail and signal the campaign is ratcheting its attacks on the Illinois senator with less than 30 days remaining until Election Day.

"I don’t need lessons about telling the truth to American people," McCain will say according to prepared text sent out by his campaign. "And were I ever to need any improvement in that regard, I probably wouldn’t seek advice from a Chicago politician."

The comments will come during McCain's rally In Albuquerque, New Mexico, slated to kick off at 3:15 ET. (Watch the event on CNN.com/live) The latest CNN poll of polls shows the Arizona senator trailing slightly in the state President Bush narrowly carried in 2004.

Especially on a day like today when the Dow is tanking big-time. I'm sure people will care that Obama met a guy who did bad things in the sixties.

Palin has only been around for 5 weeks and most of that time has been hiding from the media.

8. And how do you get "more aggressive" than all the gross smearing so far?
I just hope all the garbage tossed around so far has sickened the public

and made it clear to them HOW BANKRUPT the McSame campaign is in terms of new ideas

and HOW DESPERATE they must be to stoop to such ugly smears again and again.

13. Watch your heads, folks. McCain is about to release a lead balloon.
And fuck you, John. I'm sick of you smearing Chicago politicians. The asshole Republicans who represented me when I lived in Arizona were the rudest scum suckers on the planet. No politician in IL, regardless of party affiliation, has ever treated me with the contempt as the fuckers who "represented" me in your adoptive state.

14. It's weird, McStupid also seems to forget Alaska's lovely political scene, the one in which
Palin received help and support from the same crooked bastards she said she got rid of.

16. Keating 5. Affair with mistress-now-wife. Married father of 3 said he was going to "get laid" in Rio

Military irresponsibility (before Hanoi Hilton) -- numerous crashed planes. Bottom of his class. Ties to lobbyists out the wazoo. Maybe got too close to one lobbyist's "wazoo." Called his wife a c*nt in public. Nasty temper. Losing his marbles, big time.

Pick your combination platter and throw it right back in McGrampy's freaking face.

Oh, and add: Palin's lies about bridge to nowhere; lies about her own lobbyist ties; lies about earmarks; leaving Wasilla $20 million in debt; religious wackadoodlery; her own possible affair w/husband's business partner (Enquirer still working on that); her whole family seems like a "Palins Gone Wild" video ... etc. etc.

Now: as far as the love affairs ... I will be GLAD to take those off the table as people's personal, private business. As long as the Repugs will do the same. As long as I never hear one more word about Clinton's zipper. But they WON'T stop yapping about it, so...

You're right -- bring it on, you Rethug hypocrites!

17. Enough with insulting whole swaths of America.
There are good and bad people everywhere. Republicans constantly disrespect urban America, as if vibrant cities are somehow unimportant to the health of the nation.

18. Obama could easily respond with "Who is the real John McCain" comments.
As in, compare comments made by Senator McCain versus comments made by Candidate McCain. Much like Senator Kerry (?) did at the DNC.

I may be putting too much faith in my fellow Americans, but I feel like they're finally waking up from their fear-induced stupor. These scare tactics do not appear to be working this time.

:)

20. The real Obama gave a woman in need $100 from his pocket 20 years ago.
Character is what you do when you think no one's watching. Like helping a poor woman who's stranded (Obama), or like cheating on your wife multiple times, and taking bribe money and hot-dogging planes and ... That's how we see the real person.
