I went to college in Lebanon County and it's swimming on republicans. I read this article and a could feel the tears welling up inside knowing that even in the heart of republican country, the democrats are making major gains.

Lebanon County voters
Sep 30:
There’s still time to register, but not muchA surge in new voters has pushed Lebanon County over the 80,000-voter mark, and Democrats are making some serious gains in what has long been a Republican stronghold.
More than 2,300 new voters have registered since the April primary, according to county voter-registration data.
Continuing a trend that started last year, the number of new Democrats is outpacing the number of new Republicans. Voting rolls show that 1,305 Democrats have registered since the primary, compared to 655 Republicans and 348 who are third-party or independent voters.
County Republicans can still breathe easy, though. The GOP continues to hold a commanding, 17,000-plus voter lead over Democrats — 43,728 to 26,587, or 54 to 33 percent. But what had been a 2-to-1 edge for Republicans is now closer to a 5-to-3 margin.
Those registering with a third party or as independents have almost kept pace with the GOP ranks. There are 676 more voters in that category than four years ago, raising the total to 10,007, or almost 13 percent of the electorate.
A steady increase in registered Democrats can be tracked to the last presidential election in 2004. Since then, local Democrats have increased their rolls by 5,290, a 25 percent increase. That compares to 748 more Republicans.
In other words, for every new Republican in Lebanon County, the Democrats have gained more than seven new registrations in the last four years.
