CNN just cut away from McCain to this statement from the Obama camp.
"On a day when the markets are plunging and the credit crisis is putting millions of people at risk, the one truly angry candidate in this race kept up his strategy of 'turning the page' on the economy by unleashing another frustrated tirade against Barack Obama. And if John McCain is wondering why he's lost his credibility, he should look no further than the out-of-context quote he took from a 2007 speech in which Barack Obama warned of the subprime crisis we're now facing."

It goes on but CNN didn't show the rest. They zoomed in on the message on a word processor.

Now THAT'S snappy turnaround. McCain isn't even done speaking yet!

1. "Frustrated tirade". I like it, I like it.
Frame it as what it is--McCain's temper boiling over.

8. If you're looking for him to go crazy on stage tomorrow, it won't happen.
But he may get visibly frustrated with questions he's asked.

18. That would be "rein it in."
As in riding a horse and guiding it by holding the reins attached to the bit in the horse's mouth. "Reign" is what kings and queens do over their kingdoms.

16. Agreed. They're going to drive home to McCain that he turned off people last time around
In needed, they'll dope him up like Mr. Burns in the X-Files based Simpsons episode if that's what it takes to keep him on an even keel tomorrow.

11. Sen Obama needs to call McLame a Liar several times
during the debate. He needs to move away from saying, "That's not true." to "That is a lie." Every time McLame tells a lie, Sen Obama needs to say loudly, "That is a lie."

9. I just came in from outdoors.
McCain was on my TV (MSNBC) spouting the most hate-filled bullshit I have yet heard during this campaign. I'm to the point where I don't think I'll ever be able to be civil to anyone who supports this trash. :grr:

13. Do they ever ask McCain HIS biggest achievement in government?
Especially one dealing with "reaching across the aisle?" Everything he ever attempted "reaching" was a failure or abhorred by the Freepers.

I wish they would ask one of these RWer pundits, what's your FAVORITIST John McCain collaboration with the Dems? They'd be like uuuuhhhh......

15. The message should be ~ McCain should be calm tomorrow
night ~ he should be on his Meds.

If we keep saying that he will blow it and he is calm or anyway near calm, they will say that we were not nice to the War Hero.

Just my thoughts.
