Economic Crisis - Obama's Proposal To Invest In Infrastruture - Too Modest?
We all know that McCain is proposing to cut spending. In contrast, as part of Obama's economic recovery plan, he proposes spending $50 billion in infrasture to create jobs, and improve our national infrasture. Of course, during the Depression, FDR embarked on numerous projects to improve infrasture and create jobs.

Today, due to the credit crisis, the private sector will have difficulty obtaining financing, so a recovery is slow. Any word on whether Obama's infrastructure program makes sense? Is it too modest? It would be nice if their is more investment in high speed rail and other mass transit projects to both create jobs and address energy independence issues.

Conversely, we know that McCain is promising to do just the opposite and cut spending on such projects, or maybe he will cut taxes and increase spending like Bush.
