Indiana Research 2000 poll: 46-46, Obama ties McBush in Indiana!

INDIANAPOLIS - A new statewide poll shows Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain running even in Indiana with less than a month to go before the Nov. 4 election.

The WISH-TV Indiana poll released Monday night found Obama and McCain each supported by 46 percent of likely voters. Five percent were undecided and 3 percent said they favored another candidate.

The poll's margin of error was plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

The poll was a telephone survey of 800 likely voters conducted Sept. 29-Oct. 3 by Maryland-based Research 2000.

Recent polls have shown a tight race or McCain with a slight lead in Indiana, where a Democratic presidential candidate hasn't won since 1964.

Remember Obama did better In the primary that all the Pollsters(Except for Zogby) said he would.
