The GOP dossier on Obama/Ayers is a fucking joke...

Seriously, this is about as pathetic of a "gotcha" as I have ever seen. Some excerpts:

Well, John, as The New York Times reported this weekend, they served on two boards together during that time period." (CNN's "American Morning," 10/6/08)

From March Of 1995 Until September Of 1997, Obama And Ayers Attended At Least Seven Meetings Together Relating To The Chicago Annenberg Challenge. (Chicago Annenberg Challenge, Board Of Directors Meeting, Minutes Of The Board, 3/15/95, 3/31/95, 4/13/95, 6/5/95, 9/30/97; National Annenberg Challenge Evaluation Meeting, List Of Participants, 5/24/95; Chicago Annenberg Challenge, Chicago School Reform Collaborative Meeting, Minutes, 10/23/96)

NOTE: Obama, Born August 14th, 1961, Was 40 Years Old When Ayers Was Quoted. (Obama For America Website, www.barackobama.com, Accessed 10/6/08; Dinitia Smith, "No Regrets For A Love Of Explosives," The New York Times, 9/11/01)

Obama Spokesman Ben LaBolt Told The New York Times That Last Year Obama And Ayers "Bumped Into Each Other On The Street In Hyde Park." " said they have not spoken by phone or exchanged e-mail messages since Mr. Obama began serving in the United States Senate in January 2005 and last met more than a year ago when they bumped into each other on the street in Hyde Park." (Scott Shane, "Obama And '60s Bomber: A Look Into Crossed Paths," The New York Times, 10/4/08)

1. CNN did a total smear job on Obama yesterday.
I don't trust them anymore. They have lost all credibility.

3. They smeared him all spring during the primaries.
Not much left for them to do outside of outright calling him a n*****r on the air.

4. Well they pretty much called him a terrorist.
They are pathetic.

2. They have nothing.
And this last of what they think they have will be played out by the end of the week. And then there will be 3 weeks left until the election and the economy is still tanking. And since Congress has adjourned until the 3rd week of January (outside of hearings the House is holding and the pro-forma sessions the Senate is having to keep Shrub from doing recess appointments), there will be no "Congress" for him to run back to.

5. Anti-poverty programs ARE terrorism to the GOP.

6. But why are we still talking about Ayers?
Isn't that exactly what the GOP wants from us?

Shouldn't we be talking about Keating, the economy, and fucked things about John McCain.
Why are we instead talking about the attacks that they have hand picked for us.
Doesn't seem to make sense.
