I would NOT be at all suprised if something like 50% of them immigrate, sooner or later, if Crash wins this GE.

1. After the cash drain comes the brain drain ...
I'm not young anymore but I'm eyeing emigrating rather
than live under President BombBomb.

3. Yes-this time around a lot of people who only said they will leave in 04
Edited on Tue Oct-07-08 06:45 PM by nam78_two
will actually leave. I am sorry if this makes me sound like a rat leaving the sinking ship, but after 8 years of **** if this country elects these two freaks, my husband and I (heh-we were actually in that crowd earlier today) will definitely be moving to another country over the next few years. We are already looking at plans to move as are many other young professionals I know.
Especially, if you are a scientist and the next administration is Repuke, I just don't see a point in staying on-they will only cut research funding more and start pushing more forcefully for crap like teaching creationism or intelligent design as science etc. We are just tired of constantly feeling like we are just regressing into the dark ages.

4. I'm not 'young' but I'm
headed back to Ireland on 5 November and if 'Crash' wins, I won't be back except to pack up the rest of my belongings and talk to my son about moving back to Ireland as well.

6. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that half of them have been scrubbed from voter rolls.
