I just e-mailed CNN and asked them to report on 2 protestor's story

I think this shouldn't just be covered up. Some journalists should look into this, like how these people got such good seats (one was on the floor, quite close), and how they were treated afterwards (GOP kicking women on the ground?).

There's some news value, IMO.

Just saw Medea Benjamin on Democracy Now and she said that she got calls from journalist last night who told her that the repubs were furious and were demanding to know why they were showing these women on TV. She also said that one woman got in the convention without any credentials!

Earlier in the week, CODEPINK founder Medea Benjamin came within 30 feet of Vice President Dick Cheney as he sat in his box. She unfurled a pink banner that read "Be Pro-Life: Stop the Killing in Iraq." She also managed to ask Cheney, "How much money have you made in Iraq today?" She was picked up by Secret Service agents and dragged from the floor and down a staircase. That same night, Fernando Suarez del Solar was also ejected from the convention. His son Jesus was killed in Iraq in March 2003. He stood near the Texas delegation and held up a sign that read "Bush Lied. My Son Died."

7. Profiles in courage

The GOP couldn't pay their goons enough or trick some fanatic to the point of such bravery. Also they make themselves more vulnerable by trying to be so perfectly controlled and exclusive. One voice can shatter the illusion.

It goes to character and truth.
