Expect to hear "socialist, muslim, terrorist, america-hating commie" DAILY for the next 26 days

You're seeing a republican presidential candidate backed into a corner here. Bush never really had to resort to this sort of thing himself in '00 and '04 because he was always pretty much in command of the race (though 527s did do some of it). Here, you'll hear the candidates themselves (McCain and Palin, and even McCain's wife) promulgate some of the nastiest, most dishonest, violence-inciting tripe ever uttered on a national stage. It's becoming clear: John McCain does not care about honor, honesty, or his legacy, and has apparently saw fit to lie his way into office--at any cost.

The attacks they started when he was campaigning continued until the end of his administration. Obama will, if he's lucky, get the same treatment. It means he's doing something right.

Over the last 20 years, through hate radio, they've succeeded in making the words "liberal" and "democrat" negative and evoke a sense of disgust in their base.

Now they're trying to equate the word "terrorist" with "liberal."

Dangerous stuff with those wingnut crazies.

It's why the influence of media -- and whether or not they call out lies -- is so very important. I'm hoping that, even though they're owned by corporations whose goal is to divert our attention and PREVENT investigative journalism, the individuals who work in M$M will start to see the danger (wingnuts hate the media, too, more so this election due to McPalin) and expose more and more truths.
