If you look at the map. from a timezone perspective, Obama should rack up 96 electoral votes (NM,CO, NV, WA, OR, CA and HI)in the western half of the county, and that is great... because those staes would put him over the top. But If you look at the map in the east, he has a great shot at 284 electoral votes already.

He is ahead and has momentum in FL, NC, VA, OH, IN and MO. If he sweeps those states that gives him 97 electoral votes on top of the 187 he has locked up in the east.

Won't it be great to spend the night celebrating rather than watching a nailbiter until 3am!

2. I love your optimism BUT........
This is NO time for any dem to get complacent or assume victory. With the nasty racist shit going on and the rethugs setting the stage to cry foul when Obama wins, we need to TRIPLE our campaigning efforts. The only way to keep this election clean and decisive is for a HUGE landlside to occur.

We ALL need to pitch in - make calls, canvass, register voters, drive someone to a poll - do SOMETHING everyday - it's only 26 days - we can suck it up and bust ass for a WIN!!

If the dream comes true.
#2 is right! Can't stop now - we need to put it out there like never before right now.

6. Wow...if that's the case...
...it's possible that we out west might find the celebration beginning before we were done with our GOTV efforts!

:wow:

7. Ideally, NO state should be called until polls close on the west coast.
I don't want west-coasters to stay home because the race is over. I don't want to see a close election. I want to see a record-breaking landslide with each and every democrat on the west coast at the voting booth.

10. I agree with you but I can see that people are so eager to vote for Obama that
wild horses couldn't keep them away from the polls on Election Day.

Just going to the polls and voting seem now to be a defiant act against the traitorous administration and political party that got us into this mess.

8. I'll start partying on January 20th
Not to be a wet blanket, but any day that the Cabal still holds the keys is a nailbiter day for me.

9. I think I'll start partying 8 AM on Election morning.
Getting totally loaded after voting will help ease my jangled nerves.
