Is John McCain Supported By Terrorist Supporters? Nah.

This morning John McCain put out a list of 100 former ambassadors who are supporting his campaign. Number two is Leonore Annenberg, the wife of Ambassador William Annenberg, the founder of the Annenberg Institute of Reform, which funded the Annenberg Challenge, which once had two famous board members: former "domestic terrorist" William Ayers and Sen. Barack Obama.

So either we should all be outraged that John McCain is supported by a family who funded a foundation that hired a domestic terrorist, or this whole William Ayers thing is just plain silly. I choose the latter.

2. Oh they know that already
I'm just letting the rest of DU know that.

Trust me, Obama knows it was conservative Republicans who ran that board.

10. As a matter of fact,
both of the Obamas discussed this on tv yesterday. He was on ABC and she was on CNN! Poetic justice!

15. I meant the more recent announcement that McCain's list includes
Leonore Annenberg, the wife of Ambassador William Annenberg

That would be a good addition to their Fight the Smears page on this subject: http://fightthesmears.com/articles/22/ayerssmear?source=sem-pm-fts-ay-search-us&gclid=CKnemPzAmZYCFQ89awodqTOS7g

8. Is Annenberg Political Fact Check connected?
I see this is part of a foundation started by Walter and not William Annenberg.

Not sure what this would prove if the two were connected but here is their info anyway.

About FactCheck.org
Our Mission

We are a nonpartisan, nonprofit "consumer advocate" for voters that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics. We monitor the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews and news releases. Our goal is to apply the best practices of both journalism and scholarship, and to increase public knowledge and understanding.

The Annenberg Political Fact Check is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. The APPC was established by publisher and philanthropist Walter Annenberg in 1994 to create a community of scholars within the University of Pennsylvania that would address public policy issues at the local, state and federal levels.

The APPC accepts NO funding from business corporations, labor unions, political parties, lobbying organizations or individuals. It is funded primarily by the Annenberg Foundation.

12. Mrs Annenberg funds terrorists by John McCain's definition.
Mrs. Annenberg supports John McCain and has likely contributed to his campaign, ergo John McCain & Sarah Palin are terrorists. There's no getting around it.

17. Kick
this is why McCain won't say anything. Because he'll come right out and say that he is supported by the people who put Ayers and himself (obama) in that position
