Most likely October surprise: the Mullahs in Iran want McCain to win.
Just a little warning ...

I think the most likely October surprise will come from the Mullahs in Iran who want McCain to win.

The U.S. Navy has been reporting increasing Iranian Revolutionary Guard activities in the Persian Gulf
a couple of days ago.

Whether this is real, or just Bush neocon BS, I think both the Mullahs and the neocons would prefer
McCain to win, and therefore it's very likely that both sides are willing to start a conflict

1. Wait.. hold on there.. back up a minute....
Could I trouble you for a link that shows where the Mullahs are expressing this sentiment? I find it highly dubious.

2. If Cramer's any indication, Wall St. wants Obama to win.
Jim Cramer: Obama is a recession. McCain is a depression

Wall St. vs. the Mullahs - sounds like a smackdown to me!

3. I don't know about that.
If McCain wins, they are likely to get bombed, and I question whether even the Mullahs are that suicidal.

Unless it is like the ORIGINAL October Surprise, with the McCain people making some kind of under-the-table deal with the Mullahs to stage some kind of limited conflict. I wouldn't put that past either party!

4. Most likely, Bush wants McCain to win
What the Navy reports goes through the administration filter before it gets to us.

5. ...why would the Mullahs want McCain to win?
They have no interest in airstrikes. Al Qaeda is probably pulling for McCain, but al Qaeda and Iran are not exactly the same thing (or even, you know, remotely friendly to each other).

8. hardly likely
The Iranians have no interest in promoting the career of a nutjob war freak like McCain. You need to formulate a better argument that actually makes sense.
