Why can't Obama break 55%? Clearly, he can't close the deal with the American people.

Also, why can't he win Utah? There is a slightly higher percentage of black people in Utah (1.32%) than there are in Vermont (0.89%), where he is winning handily--from this I can only conclude that Obama has a Black Mormon Problem.

About these and other matters, I remain very, very concerned. :(

EDIT: Must I? Really? Fine--but only because I must: :sarcasm:

3. Thank you. I share your concern. The last Dem to break 55 was LBJ. Look how that turned out!

12. The sarcasm tag was highly unnecessary.
I think most people would have gotten it at "black Mormon problem".

18. Obama is only up by 3 points (within the margin of error)
in the McCain Campaign headquarters. Why can't Obama close the deal?

20. Dig it!
Not just the Black Mormons, but the Jack Mormons as well, after he gave up smoking.

Combine that with the fact that skiers don't see Obama as "one of them" and it's easy to see why Utah is giving his campaign such a hard time.

And with just under a month left, I'm not sure he's likely to turn that around.

If I were him, I'd counter by going after the disc golf vote. I think there are big in-roads to be made there.

As long as he ignores the disc golf demographic and the issues they care about, I doubt he will be able to crack that all important 55% mark.
