McCain launches Ayers Ad today
This is potentially lethal. I hope Obama comes out swinging, and soon.

1. Oh, please. It's the same crap they've been spewing, compressed into
an ad. No one is scared of an old 60's radical, no one thinks Obama is going to start bombing federal buildings. His poll numbers are fine.

3. I am nervous about what this crap will insure those nutjobs to do...

EDIT; By nutjobs, I mean those screaming, shouting maniacs in the audience of the McSame/barracuda rallies.

19. Sorry, this Ayers crap lacks the visceral punch the GOP is hoping for.
He's not black, he's not Muslim, and obviously has been an accepted and even respected member of society for a very long time, and already was when Obama met him. It just isn't scary. At most, it will give a few undecideds and wobbly Repubs a better excuse not to vote for the black guy--it's not going to hand the GOP a win.

2. It is much more than MILDLY DANGEROUS!.
This is exactly what BushCo did to McSame in 2000, and now they are trying it on Obama. SHAME on McSame...shame shame shame. He deserves nothing...not even pity.

These kind of smear tactics appeal to the asshats who would vote for McCain anyway.

I made more phonebanking calls this morning. You wouldn't believe how many people will say "I don't trust him".

32. No it's not.
It's the same laughable line about using signs as proof Obama/McCain are dominating a region.

These people probably always thought this way.

36. I don't need to phonebank to know who's winning in the polls.
If, as you say, it's working, why aren't the polls showing it?

You have NO evidence that these people would have voted for Obama before the Ayers bullshit and you have no proof they didn't think this months ago. So stop speculating. :eyes:

37. I never said you were lying.
I'm saying you're using a pointless tool to prove your point.

It's no different than driving around my town, seeing a bunch of Obama signs and coming the conclusion he'll win the state. Even though no Democrat has won here since LBJ in '64.

You're not a liar, you're just using faulty logic. You don't know when or why they distrust Obama. Maybe they began months or a year ago.

So don't say this Ayers video is the reason.

43. I'm in a fine mood.
I just tire of people with their doom posts.

There was a post similar a few days ago, telling us we need to give up Georgia because a poster and her hubbie drove around the state and saw hardly any Obama signs.

You can't base perception on just a small sample like that, especially without having any idea what they felt BEFORE the Ayers bullshit.

They may not have been Obama supporters ever.

So it shouldn't be a surprise if they don't trust him.

If McCain's campaign called ME, I'd say I want nothing to do with a campaign like his.

Doesn't mean I just made that decision today, though.

Unfortunately, this appeals even more to the Sieg Heil crowd, and it's something that will dog Obama and us all for the next (hopefully) eight years.

16. Obama just needs to release ads on Iran financing the AIP,
which Palin's husband is/was a long time member of, and of which recently Sarah herself showed support.

Then there are the accounts of McCain's temperament. He has a really short fuse, a really bad temper. I think that is TOO RISKY FOR AMERICA.

Those two alone will take all the steam out of the Ayers crap.

People are fed up with the negative campaigning. By the time McSame figures that out, the election will be over and they'll be wondering what happened.

Instead of representing mavericky straight talk bipartisanship honor, he will represent racism, division, lies, fear and hate. He won't be wanted in polite company. Serves him right.
