Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 09:30 AM by Democrats_win
After the decline this nation has suffered under bush, the Republicans are finally afraid. Nightline interviewed Republicans at McCain/Palin rallies and they said they were afraid. What a laugh.

I've always said that the Democrats should nominate a communist to punish the Republicans for bush. We should give the Republicans something to really be afraid of; something to really complain about. As Republicans try to paint moderate Democrats as extremists, there sits warmonger and his communist treasury secretary. There sits extremist Palin and her Desperate Housewife style of stabbing honest people in the back by firing them for not carrying out her personal vendetta.

Then there's Bomb Bomb Iran McCain. Dear, Republicans, we are not laughing with you, we're laughing at you, you Ridiculous idiots!

1. maybe if they're afraid, they'll stay home and stop annoying people.
if they're too afraid to go out, that's a pretty good thing.

2. To the wacko right wing nutjobs,
moderate Democrats ARE extremist. Nixon and Reagan would be extremists to them. Right wing radio has poisoned 30% of this country, and I blame moderate people in both parties for ignoring this blight on the body politic for too many years.

3. The republicon fears go deeper then a democratic leader ship
their fears are based on race and the belief that a black man would somehow take all their elitists rights away from them. Such as the right to live in gated communities where segregation isn't the norm. Or the right to drag black people and other minorities behind their pick up trucks. It's a culture war to them, they think Obama will take away their american culture and make bigotry illegal. How many generations have passed on their bigotries to the next generation?

Remember these are the same idiots that fear change of any sort. They have panic attacks at any change they see in their lives, today is supposed to be the same as yesterday and tomorrow is supposed to be the same as today. Never mind that they live on the edge of the biggest change of their lives every since they Elected Reagan, their jobs could be packed up and sent over seas leaving them behind broke and trying to replace a $15 an hour job with a $10 an hour job or with 2 or 3 part time jobs.

Obama will drive home the fact that blacks are the equals of whites and frankly they are deathly afraid of that change.

6. I don't think this is about race primarily.
They have been programmed from all the hate radio and faux news to be afraid of Dems in general. Any Dem.

17. If you check back to when Johnson signed the civil rights bill
you see the start of the puke hate and fear of the Democratic party. Reagan knew that the faithful had a belief that all of america's problems were stemming from people who didn't look like them. It's why the code word Welfare Queen worked so well. If you ever got close to a republicon the first thing you noticed about them was Democratic party = ni**ger lovers was behind everything they had to say about the other side of view.

I hung around white, republicon, baptists most of my life and have seen heard and got an ear full of hate. I got rid of the last one in 1995, he was collecting guns and ammo for the great race war of 2000, I had started hanging around with him in the 3rd grade, that was back in 1964 or 65. In that 30 years I seen so much racism from that family and their friends it was shocking how racist they were and how it bled into every thought they had about politics.

It's really amazing how they can never see where their thinking contradicts their beliefs or reality. The guys father and mother ranted and raved about welfare queens non stop yet said nothing when my "friend" spent 12 years on welfare when he got layed off his GM job. Mind you the friend got layed off in 1980 and finally got brought back in 1992. They didn't even connect that the entire time Reagan/Bush was in office the friend didn't work, yet when Clinton took office he was back working.

The funny part was they blamed it on black GM workers and affirmative action, friend didn't get called back because blacks and women were being called back first. In fact when GM started hiring again in the 90's they all repeated the same lie.......no one but a women could get hired into GM and the woman that had the best chance of a job? A black woman with a hispanic last name. How can you say that racism isn't behind their fears of the democratic party? It's whats been driving them since the 60's.

5. The country is changing. That is a demographic reality.
It is no longer going to be possible to win national races with the "generic white guy" without some sort of broad appeal to women and minorities. That is one of the factors driving this fear. They don't just see Obama winning. They see their own relevance waning.

10. Every Dem. Nominee is called the most liberal
It's the boogie man and it's ridiculous. Obama is far from the most liberal. In fact there really are no liberals in the senate IMHO.

13. Who voted Obama the most liberal? He's not liberal at all.
Every four years the Democratic candidate is called "the most liberal senator." First it was Gore, then it was Kerry, now it's Obama. It's especially ridiculous applied to Obama. He is moderate right. If Obama is the most liberal senator, then the rest of them are conservatives!

16. So ironically he is more liberal than
 Bernie Sanders? Ted Kennedy? Robert Byrd? Patrick Leahy? John Kerry? Chris Dodd? Dick Durbin? Barbara Boxer? Patty Murray? Russ Feingold?

It's a shame you would repeat repuke nonsense. (News Flash: Only repuke organizations spout this nonsense but there are http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2008/jun/16/Obama-lefty/">alternate studies and certainly given the progressive bitching around this place, he surely doesn't fit that view)

11. They're afraid because Obama is (half) black.
It's got nothing to do with whether he's a liberal or a moderate, it's got nothing to do with whether Obama is a man or a woman, and it's not the fact that he's a Democrat that has them scared. He's (half) black, and that's what scares them.

Pure racism aside, the reason this is so scary to them is because if a (half) black man finally does get elected, their coalition of racists, religious fundamentalists, and rich old white guys loses a lot of its power.

15. They're being obedient Republicans. They've been told to fear Obama
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 10:22 AM by Overseas
by the man they thought could be trusted to put their country first. McLiar and his chosen fundamentalist Christian VP candidate told them Obama consorts with terrorists. McLiar & Failin told him Obama can't be trusted because he wants to talk with foreign dictators without any conditions and give away our country. The right wing hate talk machine on the radio told them Obama is a Muslin. (sic) They told him Obama hates America.

What they don't understand is the Republican Party has entered a new era in which they've decided ethics do not count and elections do not need to be fair. There are ten million fewer Republicans than Democrats registered to vote so they've gotta fight dirty. Truth be damned. The Ends Justify the Means.

COUNTRY CLUB FIRST.

Keep working for an Obama avalanche. We need it to overcome Republican trickery.
