Brokaw: "Name one thing Barack Obama has done in the past month
To solve this economic crisis? What is up with this guy? Shouldn't the question be: Tell me what solutions each candidate has come up with to solve this problem?" He so obviously does not like Obama and he needs to be taken off the air. Why is it ok for Olbermann to be critized for his partisan commentary but not the guy hosting MTP?

1. Because Brokaw is a Big Shot at NBC. He gets away with this crap.
He's obviously in the tank for McCain. Doesn't matter.

Disappointed at Brokaw's clear and admitted bias on display.

4. Tom: He voted for the bailout.
From the press coverage we were all supposed to believe this was a one stop fix to our economic problems. :eyes:

11. Well, Obama didn't pull some stupid bullshit political stunt like McCain did.
About "suspending" his campaign, then swooping into Washington, interjecting himself into the bailout discussions, doing absolutely no good.

On the other hand, Obama has been calm, cool and rational about the economic crisis we're facing.

5. They really need to find someone a bit more neutral to host MTP...
seriously, they do, and soon, because they will start to lose viewers. I don't watch anymore, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

And what was the response? (And...to whom did he ask the question?)

19. He asked John Harwood
Who answered that he voted for the bailout and has put some proposals on the table. He also said something like he is the candidate and can't really do anything about it until he gets elected, or something like that. I was pissed at the question I barely heard the answer, and that was Brokaw's point. He doesn't want you to hear the real answers.

And no he did not really ask any questions that were critical of McCain and he facilitated in the defense of the indefensible, Sarah Palin.

I would like to know if we are just hearing one side of it here is all. I cannot watch for another hour in my time zone.

12. Brokaw is showing contempt for Obama the same way he showed it for Kerry - he's a BUSHprotecting
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 10:23 AM by blm
pal of Poppy's and Jack Welch and has been since he vacationed at Welch's house with that large pod in his room.

Brokaw is SUCH a slimy anti-journalist now, that when he wrote his last book on Vietnam he REFUSED to interview Kerry and left him completely out of the book, but he managed to include Hillary Clinton who never came CLOSE to serving in Vietnam and McCain who screwed up nearly every duty he had throughout that time, some of which led to the deaths of a number of fellow crewmembers.

Sorry, Tom, but a category 5 hurricane in 2005 blew the curtains away just enough for many Americans to see for themselves what the GOP and its mediawhores are willing to do to this country.

21. It's insulting at the highest level that someone like this
should be in a position of power in the US corporatemedia.

There must be some way to take him down from his pedestal for his blatant show of disrespect for the facts.

Obama's too gracious but I would hope when he becomes president he fucking limits tom brokaw's ACCESS.

16. Corzine should have responded, "Why Tom. You know Obama's
got a terrorist cell to run. He can't be gadding about with Osama and Bill Ayers and working on the economy, too." Fucking Brokaw is near the top of the list for biased reporters. I'd say he was bucking for McCain press secretary, but even old man McCain isn't that nuts.

explain that the alaskan state government found her in violation of their ethics laws.

What a guy. There's your librul bias, right there. Nope. It's an unfair double standard being levelled on Gramps.

He KNOWS that his tax cut was wandering around on that stage and that his days of exploiting are over.
