Screw Tom Brokaw
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 10:19 AM by livedemocarticordie
This guy is the most disgusting weasel. He just asked the panel. John Harwood in particular, CAN YOU THINK OF ONE SINGLE THING BARACK OBAMA HAS DONE IN THE LAST MONTH..to help solve this financial crisis....??? WTF???!!!

And for those who pissed on Tim Russert when he died--a man who I knew personally and respected, Meet the Press is a ridiculous show now. I would lie down and die to see Tim back here now at this time.Shit!

2. I refuse to watch MTP now. But I wonder--did he ask the same question about McCain?
I'm guessing no...but willing to give him the benefit of a doubt.

Brokaw--what a tool!

4. He also referenced David Broder columns twice
The first tome he called him a journalist for The National Review and he later he quoted another column calling Broder a member of the washington press corp, I cannot remember is exact quote the second time but I thought it was strange that he only referenced Broder but with two different titles. What was that all about.

8. I'll never forgive Brokaw for having Keith and Tweety kicked off anchoring MSNBC election coverage
in favor of David Gregory, who is just as right-wing as Brokaw is. I know some people think they'll have more leeway to speak their minds as commentators than as anchors, but it's the principle and prestige of the thing.

Brokaw threw his weight around to imply the "reputation" of NBC News was being tarnished by Keith and Tweety because they were too "opinionated." Well, he and Gregory are just as opinionated if not worse--they're just opinionated in the other direction. Sheesh.

9. Meet the Press was ALWAYS a ridiculous show.
Sorry about your friend. He was a tool also.
Just not quite as obvious as Brokaw.

So... what has Obama done in the last month to help solve the financial crisis?
Serious question - I would like to have the talking points...

10. Tom has been bought, he is still living in the 60's
where blacks would answer to their masa! he is worried about
losing that status, especially at his home in D.C where he
treats maintenance workers at his house like slaves, not having
the decency to greet his workers because they are black.

We know all about you TOM...

I take my dead so called "tool" over this live one any day. Who's not a tool really who is in mainstream press? Give me a break.

The bottom line is I could not see TIM RUSSERT in a million years putting his chubby hand to his even chubbier cheek like a demure rat-smelling disappointed old hag and asking "What has Barack Obama done in one month to solve this financial crisis?" It's a joke, a stupid lame f--ing joke.

The other difference is TIM was genuinely excited to have the prospect of an African American in the mix and living to see him pull it off. Clearly, obviously TOM is depressed and dying at the notion that McCain may well lose it all and this black guy might win. He oozes disdain for Obama and always has. And don't get me wrong I am old enough to know that most folks my generation (I am 48) black and white have their secret fears and prejudices. No amount of fake hyped up liberalism has persuaded me otherwise. But Meet the Press had its moments. And it has had no such moments since Tim's Death...

.. I do look forward to Ted Koppel's show the Last Lynching.
