Charlie Crist throws McKlan under the bus.
HaHa!

Asked last week how much time he planned to invest campaigning for McCain until Nov. 4, Crist demurred.

“I’ll be involved, but my first duty is to the people of Florida, to be their governor and I take that role very, very seriously,” he said. “So when I have time to be able to help, I’ll try to do that, but I know where my first loyalty is to and it’s to the 20 million people that live in the state that I love.”

9. I think he broke his "engagement" soon after McCain chose Palin.
Wish he'd just be honest and come on out of that closet.

Thanks to mccain-rove-bush deregulations the Governor of Florida has to look after his own instead of campaigning with the man of the past.

11. REC'D! Another tidbit on Charlie Grist's bus throwing capabilities..
"The Miami Herald is reporting this morning that some Florida Republicans are beginning to slowly distance themselves from McCain, including top surrogate Charlie Crist:"

"Even Gov. Charlie Crist, who helped deliver Florida for McCain during the primary, said he will spend the final weeks before Election Day minding the state's weak economy rather than campaigning for the Arizona senator.

''When I have time to help, I'll try to do that,'' Crist said last week, after he flew around the state with McCain running mate Sarah Palin. Saturday, he skipped a McCain football rally and instead went to Disney World.

I guess Crist is another one who disagrees with the current direction of the McCain campaign:

Crist has stressed the need to focus on the economy and, close allies say, has grown troubled with the negative direction of the McCain campaign as it focuses more on Obama's connections to 1960s radical William Ayers, rather than on pocketbook issues."

He should be the spokesperson for Geico. This guy changes his coat to match any situation. That's how he's gotten this far politically since he is one of the most ignorant politicians this side of Palin. He senses a change in the background and poof, he's a politician of a different color.

Suddenly, Florida Governor Charlie 'Flotsam Bobbing On The Tide' Crist is all concerned about the people of Florida. Apparently, Ms. Palin dirtied up his crisp white shirt last week.

Gainesville Sun, October 11, 2008

TALLAHASSEE — As Republican hopes appear to be fading nationally, Gov. Charlie Crist stands out as one of the country’s most popular GOP officials. But it’s not clear how much he can do, or is willing to do, to help presidential candidate John McCain win in Florida.

.....

Crist: McCain campaign not my priority
, October 8, 2008

Crist traveled with GOP running mate Sarah Palin in Florida this week when she launched the most personal attacks yet on Sen. Barack Obama, continuing her previous assertion that Obama was “palling around with terrorists.” It was a reference to Obama’s service on a board with Bill Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground which protested the Vietnam War with bombings nearly four decades ago.

Obama has denounced Ayers’ activities.

Asked Wednesday what he thought of Palin’s comments, Crist demurred.

“Well, you know, everybody runs their campaign the way they think is the best to run it,” he said. “What I am proud of is the job that she did in Florida as it relates to getting out the message, firing up the base.”

Crist quickly predicted “a victory in Florida” for McCain and said negative campaigning “is in the eye of the beholder.”

Hoping we can kick this shallow opportunist out of Tallahassee in 2010 and replace him with Alex Sink, now serving as Florida's CFO.

(And we also want to kick Jeb Bush out of Florida and Mel Martinez out of the Senate.)
