GREAT Local article in my red state about Obama
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 11:27 AM by iamthebandfanman
before i give the link i just want to say that i think if all these people in red states who are skeptical and or put off by obama (for whatever reason) had a chance to meet him and shake his hand theyd all change their mind. like in this article, i think sometimes when someone has been demonized, it takes meeting them and having a first hand experience to completely change your perspective.
the man in the article whos restaurant obama stopped at is a STAUNCH republican, but he walked away from the experience saying "He was a real nice guy. He was really down to earth," said Seip. "I was really impressed. When you talk to someone personally like that it makes a difference." "Probably changed my mind one way or another"
people have been brainwashed, by whatever and whoever, to believe they should be AFRAID of the change obama will bring...atleast these locals discovered otherwise.

anyway, enjoy

i personally think if obama were to tour some red states and meet with people, hed gain ground by quite a bit

1. It's nice to see articles like this.
Like you say, if everone could meet the guy it would be all over. I don't think meeting McCain (or even Palin) would produce the same effect!

I think you probably mean "demonize", though, rather than "demonetize" (to remove the value from coinage). :)
