Have you heard about the Mccain/Palin Compliance Fund?
It's old news, but new to me. Apparently, although McCain can not accept donations now that he's accepted government funding, he is allowed to accept donations to cover the costs of complying with FEC rules. For example, since that little "I'm John MCCain and I approve this message" blurb takes about 5% of the air time on his ads, he can use money from the compliance fund to cover 5% of his broadcast advertising costs!
