A comeback over Ayers

I mentioned this in another thread, but I think its at least something to think about:

McCain is putting out another ad tomorrow claiming the close conncetion between Obama and Ayers, but they could only put their two head shots together side by side. That means, with all the Republican operatives searching high and low, they weren't able to come up with a single picture of Ayers and Obama together, even though they were part of the same board of directors and wouldn't have been hiding their acquaintance at that point in their lives (they were both professors at Chicago universities - they weren't meeting in anyone's basement). So how close could they have really been?

That fact won't help with the rabid right who have already bought into it, but for any independents on the fence, it may make them realize the whole connection is flimsy enough to be absurd.

can't hold a thought in their head long enough to absorb the "supported by Ronald Reagan donor" argument.
