Biden guilty of abuse of power -- steps down

by Inky99
Sun Oct 12, 2008 at 02:26:13 PM PDT

An official investigation has concluded that indeed, Joe Biden did illegally abuse his power as a United States Senator to have his brother's ex-wife fired from her position in the Justice Department.

Biden is expected to step down immediately and a new choice for Obama's VP will commence immmediately.

The media firestorm is in its predictable full-swing. The scandal is the top news story on every news site in America, with every pundit is predicting the end of Obama's campaign, as this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that his judgment is seriously, perhaps fatally, flawed.

Obama scheduled a news conference for 6 p.m. this evening in a desperate attempt at damage control.

Why Obama would even choose someone under investigation was barely mentioned in the press when Biden was picked. A few people whispered about it, but for some reason the media gave him a pass on it at the time -- perhaps they assumed he had inside information that exonerated Biden and Obama's team just wasn't worried about it.

But today all hell broke loose in the media when the report was released that stated, indeed, that Biden's conduct was unlawful.

What seems to be drawing the most outrage, and downright ridicule, is how Biden is actually claiming that the report somehow clears him of wrongdoing! This is such an obvious refutation of the facts that people are simply stunned. Jack Cafferty just stared at the camera for five full seconds, mouthing the words "WHAT THE FUCK" several times for everyone to see. Indeed, how stupid does Biden think the American public is? And how can he possibly lie to the media's fact like that and expect to get away with it?

Where is the outrage about Palin?

1. I don't think they care that there's no "outrage".. . . . . I think
they will use people's familiarity with the argument (courtesy of your friendly "librul" media) to make massive reports of "voter fraud" seem plausible when they fight to steal the closely fought districts on Nov 4th...

It has been reported virtually everywhere.

4. Reported? Where are the analyses, commentaries, further journalistic probes?
Who has called out McCain on this?

Doesn't this story deserve the same, if not more, scrutiny as RW spin?

7. Where are the analysis and op-eds about Acorn?
I don't think you even searched for it. you simply stated it because you felt like it.

9. "Where are the analysis and op-eds about Acorn?"
That’s the big problem.

If MSM did any real digging into the ACORN story at all, instead of reporting GOP spin, everyone would see that the ACORN smear story is nothing.

11. Are you serious? No one is talking about ACORN?
Not Lou Dobbs or Drew Griffin, who did a so-called investigative piece on the group?

Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 06:39 PM by dennis4868
point is that there no outrage! A demand for Palin to step down. Here you have someone who could be prez of the USA in a few months and she was just found to have abused the power of her office. If the media was fair (or if Biden was the one who violated ethics laws) there would be WALL TO WALL coverage of this!

3. Can you imagine FOX News and CNN...
if Biden was in fact found to have abused the power of his office...like your "article" shows there would be wall to wall coverage about it and a DEMAND that Biden step down immediately from the Obama ticket.

It is astonishing that there is total silence on the palin abuse of power. What the fuck was McCain worried about? The media is not going to hold Palin accountable...she is an aw shucks hockey mom....I HATE THE FUCKING MEDIA!

8. Yeah, that's why McCain is doing so good
Dude, even MSM conservatives are turning against McCain: George Will, David Brooks, to mention too really big ones.
Krauthammer has criticized Palin as well. And that's only the conservatives.

his campaign would have ended long before he picked Palin. In fact, it would never have gotten off the ground.

There are still enough of them out there telling outright lies to benefit McCain.

Either he's with McCain or he isn't, and you claim the media is pro-McCain this cycle.
He is part of why your statement can't stand when tested against the evidence.

We can't expect the media to do these things without serious effort on the part of our party leaders and candidates. If Barack Obama wants a big deal made of Palin's abuse of power, then a big deal will be made of it. If not, then we will get whatever we get.
