I love it! Entertainment Tonight is reporting on how all these news
stories are totally stealing the limelight off the RNC.

Then they talked about Clinton for a good FIFTEEN frigging minutes!!!!

And non-political types watch ET (I don't normally just happened to have it on!).

They went on and on and on about how the RNC should be the big story right now but Frances and the Russian tragedy and Clinton all pushed it totally to the backburner.

By tomorrow, hardly anyone will be mentioning the RNC. Frances will have made landfall.

11. "free" is a minimalist freeper.....
Apparently the mere viewing of the cover of Unfit For Command is
supposed to make us fall to our knees and beg God's forgivness for
being Kerry-supporting Democrats. :eyes:

6. Well they can blame him alllll they want
(um what stops them normally?) It doesn't matter. Bad luck, that. Their convention ends, one hour later Kerry is giving a rebuttal, then the Frances and Russia terrorist stories break the next morning then Clinton is in the hospital.

If they try to say it's anything more than bad luck for the RNC, they'll sound crazy.

(Oh wait, that doesn't bother them does it? LOL!)

8. Kerry responding so quickly after Bush spoke
was wonderful. It kept the media whores from having a total love fest for what a 'powerful orator' their Great One is.

10. This is good because we need everything we have to...
keep Kerry afloat.

Get the light of Bush on onto anything else.

12. my prayers are working
and there is a God! I must be careful of how to pray though because I never wanted Clinton to be hurt or sick! Now we must pray for him to get through this alright! Be careful what you ask for.

Oh my gosh! As I was typing this, I just remembered I was reading somewhere on the internet something about meteors passing by and leaders getting killed or dying. It was said (whatever it was I was reading and now can't remember) that actually another meteor passed through the atmosphere during or after Reagan's death. This was the second meteor to pass within months. They were saying this meant another leader was going to die but I was thinking more along the lines of somebody in office somewhere now...not this!

I'm sorry to have posted this but it just came to mind! Does anybody remember reading anything like this? I know I didn't dream it.

14. I found this on a search:
THE GREAT COMET AND THE DEATH OF KINGS

We began this section with a note on the Aztec emperor Moctezuma's
terror on the arrival of a comet. The focus of this fear is significant
because it was shared by emperors and kings and tribal chiefs the world
over. The comet means the death of great leaders.

The idea appears to be as old as Babylonian astronomy, which associates
a comet with the death of kings. The Roman poet Lucan offers a vivid
description of cometary disaster, when the skies, "blazing fire," bring
forth the "hair of the baleful star--the comet which portends changes to
monarchs." So too did the Greek mathematician and astronomer Ptolemy
connect the comet with the death of kings.

The profound fears of royalty at the appearance of the comet continued
well into the present era. The third century Christian theologian
Origen cites the comet as heralding a change in dynasties. It was a
common "belief that the comet of AD 336 had announced the death of the
great emperor Constantine." In connection with the assassination of
Julius Caesar, it was said, a comet had appeared in the sky. On
learning of a comet Nero was seized with fear, and chroniclers assure us
that a comet preceded the death of the Emperor Macrinus in A.D. 218, and
of Attila in A.D. 451.

<snip>

According to Synesius, writing in the fourth century A.D., a comet means
great disaster: "And whenever these comets appear, they are an evil
portent, which the diviners and soothsayers appease. They assuredly
foretell public disasters, enslavements of nations, desolations of
cities, deaths of kings."

9. I'm just waiting for the Pigman to claim that Clinton's having the surgery
so he won't have to campaign for Kerry -- so he'll lose -- so Hillary can run in 2008 --- blah blah pigshit blah.

No doubt he'll be ranting this soon. The junkie just can't help it.

And speaking of the Pigman, now that he's officially dating Daryl Kagan of CNN we know why she was involved in that Letterman/CNN fiasco a few months back. I knew she was a whore -- but Limbaugh? Are they a couple of beards or what???

13. Or better yet...
He'll blame Clinton for getting surgery, "Purposly timing it to change the subject off the RNC"... After all, to repubs, it's all Clinton's fault.

16. Uh .... I am disturbed you would say "I love it" about the Russian tragedy
that's just disgusting.

Think about it.

17. You totally misunderstood me.
I said I love that Entertainment Tonight is talking about nothing but how the RNC got knocked off the news radars. I do NOT love what happened in Russia--how can someone even THINK someone could LOVE that?

Did you even re-read my post after you had that initial thought?
