Don't kid yourself. We are approaching a VERY dangerous time leading up to Election Day
It is becoming apparent to people like the founder of Project For A New American Century, William Kristol, that the McCain campaign is pathetic, incompetent and flailing in desperation. Granted, he was one of the biggest proponents to have Sarah Palin as the VP choice. As he made it known yesterday on Fox News Sunday, he basically sees the Obama campaign on its way to win... and win big.

Yes, he's being thrown under the bus by lockstep McCain drones for admitting the obvious.

This is where we need to be more vigilant than ever before in making sure Obama is elected. As anyone with half a brain would suggest, they are going to try EVERYTHING they can to steal the election, create an "event" to distract the voters and perhaps the White House just might want to even temporarily stop the Election with some phony policy that not only attempts to destroy the Democratic process, but perhaps more.

Batten the hatches. Get ready for the attack. Get to an Obama or Democratic Party office and do some work. Of course, make sure to assume that you're expected to fall down quickly and let them through the door.

If nothing happens, great! Otherwise, this is a street fight. Take heed.

8. Yup i did notice that
We still need to keep working though the bigger the blowout the larger the mandate and the larger the chance of downticket wins as well.

13. Then since their concern seems to always be wrong, why complain?
If they're saying something will go wrong between now and the election, surely that means nothing will. Concern is good luck. ;-)

14. I notice sign on dates also
The OP has been here 3 years longer than you have. Not everyone who isn't seeing stars in their eyes is a troll.

16. Ah.
The "he's got more experience because he's been around longer" argument.

Hmm.

2. I think that the neocons are about to go underground for another 10-20 years
they are going to blame the failed economy on Obama after he takes office, then try to run in 4, or 8 years.

08 is a write-off for many of them.

5. A guy I work with who is a RNC batcave strategist admitted that a while back
He told me that the RNC knows they are going to lose badly this year but will try to gain back seats in 2010.

4. I'm concerned about the republican "fake out" message to us that
we can relax now, Obama's gonna get a landslide, you don't even have to vote cuz he'll win anyway, etc.

I agree with you. Time to ratchet up the energy and cross the finish line.

7. It's odd because McCain has a lot of dirty laundry. Will he escape with his honor?
Rolling Stone article on McCain tells the truth.

Make-Believe Maverick
A closer look at the life and career of John McCain reveals a disturbing record of recklessness and dishonesty

--This article goes after McCain's POW record, his plane crashes, his and his wife's involvement with Keating, and his flip-flops over the past 7 years. McCain has flopped.

9. here's the ringer
Ask yourself this: Why would the right transfer so much power to the executive branch if they did not intend to keep it at ANY COST?

There is no way they would have moved so much power over the people to EB if they were planning a fair election and lawful transfer of power that might go to a Democrat.

10. Never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence
Bush and Cheney were short-sighted. They never looked beyond the end of their own administration. Rove planned to create a permanent Republican majority. This complete and utter failure of their agenda was not something they ever dreamed of.

19. your premise is flawed
If there is a track record of malice, then malice can indeed be an explanation -- in this case it is malice against liberty, against the people, and against the Constitution.

11. They Are Riling Up Their Base For Something
What McCain and especially Palin are doing isn't a strategy for getting a majority, and they know it.

Even as a strategy to keep from losing formerly safe Congressional seats, it doesn't make sense,
since they would likely be driving away as many voters as they attract, even in the South.

Palin's rallies are more like what the KKK does before they go out and lynch someone.

What are they stirring them up FOR?

12. "thrown under the bus"
I'm getting tired of hearing that phrase used. I think there is a better vehicle to describe the Obama campaign:

15. The Obama campaign is more than ready. It's the McCain campaign that needs to worry.
The Obama October offensive is just getting underway and they have about $100M from Sept to work with. McCain will be blown away.

17. I disagree. I think the PNAC is evil, yes.
But they preyed on a complacent society that hadn't yet seen what this war would do to us and the world. I don't even think THEY knew how badly it could possibly turn out. They're going to go away for awhile and lick their wounds.
