Can Kerry get anyone to replace Bill Clinton ??
Edited on Sat Sep-04-04 01:20 AM by kentuck
No doubt, Bill Clinton was going to be a big part of the late strategy. But it is doubtful that the Big Dawg will be physically able to do very much after his heart surgery. But there is one person out there that makes George w Bush and the Repubs pull their hair out. He is President Al Gore!

And tell me one person that slaps the Repubs harder than Al Gore? Before we get the hues and cries that AL Gore would cost John Kerry votes, let's not forget that AL Gore got 500K more votes than George Bush in the last election.

But the important point about asking Al Gore to come on board and assist the Kerry campaign is that the media will be all over it. It would be a big story. KERRY ASKS GORE TO JOIN CAMPAIGN ! It could very well get the campaign back on the offensive. The Repubs would not know whether to attack John Kerry or Al Gore. It would confuse the hell out of them.

2. I hope Clinton makes it through this ok from his Heart surgery.
I also hope that this will help Kerry. I know that the ends don't justify the means but it certainly shouldn't help Bush.

How bad off do you think that Clinton will be?

8. actually
it's more like 4-6 weeks. And knowing Clinton, he'll be on TV in 3 weeks.

He won't be working any rope lines, but hell, he can be driven to a TV studio in NY. He'll do Letterman, Daily Show, CNN, MSNBC, etc.

7. There's Carville and there's Senator Clinton,
not too mention, maybe Chelsea might enter the fray.I think Bill, accidentally, took the attention from the Bush campaign today by having to go to the hospital.

9. That was the bright point I got from Bill's problems --

I immediately said, "Ha! This will eclipse a lot of talk about the RNC!"

I hope Bill already taped some television ads for use in the campaign.

11. Someone on Hardball mentioned Barack Obama...
since he has his Senate race locked up, he could go out and do some campaigning for Kerry.

12. South - How about Max Cleland and Wes Clark
And get Barack Obama in all neighborhoods, but I'd especially get him after the African-American vote along with Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson (I think Kerry is just a bit weak there). I think Barack also plays well in the suburbs.

13. Do you think we need more of a positive message?
And wouldn't that be the strength of Barack Obama?
