Do you think McCain thinks he is losing?
and therefore at this point is just trying not to make it an embarassing landslide?

Or

Do you think he really thinks he can win this and they aren't going to go down without swinging as hard as they can??

1. He knows it's over.
He's known for about a month now.

He is just going through the motions, keeping the base in line. Actually, just having sarah do that.

5. Sure he knows. He wouldn't have gotten dirty if he didn't have too.
I'm not saying he's above it, but he is all about his "legacy". He knows going dirty would hurt it, so he pretended he was above it until he started losing and (in his brain) had no choice.

7. No, he thinks he's behind but that he can still somehow win
HE won't know he's fully losing it until somebod tells him the RNC pulled the plug on their monetary support for his campaign.

10. See with Palin, I really think she thinks she is going to win
(she seems to think she is running for Prez)

but I didn't know what McCain was thinking.

14. Palin looks pissed lately
At least when I've seen snippets. Even when she's standing next to McCain.
She really wanted to win and be (ugh, can I even type this?) President.

I think he knows. He's pissed too because he thought he was owed.

11. He has to know.
But I think he believes that he can still pull it out somehow, if he acts like enough of an irrational jackass.

12. Probably not
He knows his poll numbers are down and the time is wearing thin, but he probably still think he can snag a victory on election day.
