If you are not watching FRONTLINE
.. you need to be...all of us...

and I hope they rerun it. For all those who think this is a a scary rabid leftist. Barack is not close to it, and the long section on the Harvard Law Review makes that clear. And I say good.....He's going to need to reunite this torn divided country and the mess we find ourselves in...

11. Thanks! I wanted to see it
The one they did 4 years ago on Kerry/Dubya was breathtaking (Kerry's was, anyway). Just one more reason I was flummoxed that Bush got a second term.

14. its going to be controversial
..among our group because frankly it makes him sound like a pure operative, ruthless in chicago politics, " a velvet glove over a steel fist." There is no halo here, but I think that is good.

I can handle it, because I know he is doing well because he is that smart. I see him as an efficient multicultural person who bows to neither the extreme left or the right.

The show covers his defeat by Bobby Rush including Bill Clinton doing ads for Bobby, something I did not know.

At one point he is described as a lone wolf.

18. I don't think so. He's portrayed as a man of principled moderation and political skill.
Hell, he wouldn't be in this position were he not a savvy polico. We'll all be glad for that once he lands in the Oval and takes the reigns of the agenda.

21. Yes, they did.
They talked about how she waited for him to return from Vietnam and was injured and disfigured, even showing video of her afterward. Then moved to a discussion of John meeting Cindy (the beauty queen beer heiress...)

23. Meh. It was ok.
They spent literally 20 minutes on Rev. Wright, which seemed like a bit of overkill.

They spent about 30 seconds total talking about McCain selling out his alleged principles.

24. just finished it out on the West Coast
I can see they painted both in a favorable light. But they did show what a complete tool and political hack McCain has become to convince the Freepers out there to vote for him next month.

GOD LET THIS ELECTION BE OVER AND OBAMA BE #44

of presenting facts and info. Nothing heavy handed just straight forward journalism with some great interviews.

26. I saw the real McCain tonight ... almost forgot about him!
This special edition of Frontline is of course a work in progress but I liked seeing the old real McCain, the one who was considering switching party and opposed the Bush administration in its conduct of the war.

I miss that McCain

27. Just finished - I may be biased
Well I am biased, but I don't see how that get's anyone to vote for McCain. The contrast is very clear and striking side by side. McCain is presented as a pandering twit in my opinion.

28. Well, he is a pandering twit. I thought they captured ...
him pretty well too. The Keating Five, the "maverick" turned bush* suck up, his turning on the religous right then his suck up to them, voted against the bush* tax cuts and then to keep them permanently and even his flip flop on torture. All accurate, all dealt with fairly I thought. All in all I thought it was pretty good episode.
