I will not post the picture here at DU. It's at this site. Be warned, folks. It will piss you off like never before.

3. I must be very naive, Bloo...
I know racism exists, but most of the time it's not so blatant. Seeing this is just shocking to me.

2. Racism is rearing its ugly little head.
It resides underneath a rock and is rarely seen in public anymore but is out there and sadly still exists. However, if the United States elects Obama as its president then they will be shown up for the small sad irrelevant community they really are.

6. Sickened but not surprised

It brought back a lot of bad feelings and that sick-in-the stomach feeling.

That kind of thing was common 40 years ago and I haven't seen any evidence that it had gone away. It's built into the Republican party base, and it's been there in every election. Now Palin is going to get someone killed, for sure, and I don't think she doesn't know what she's doing. The candidates are protected, but not some naive kid who gets caught alone and vulnerable.

7. Unfortunately I remember the 50's and 60's
Today we are seeing some ugly stuff but nothing compared to those god-awful days.

8. Growing up in the 60's did give people one advantage, they saw what these under handed racist
images and hate speech did to the country. I remember the riots of 68 after the murder of MLK, the anger that a great man was gunned down by a racist that bought into the KKK master plan of the white culture. I remember the murders of the kids trying to promote equal voting rights to all americans reguardless where their forefathers came from. I remember the peaceful protests that ended up with violence because the police force were bigoted and racist.

The real problem lays in the fact that racism in the country took a turn in the 70's. it was hidden and code words started being the norm, see I remember when Wallace and other members of government in the south and proclaimed that the ni**gers were their problem and the rest of the country should butt out of the souths business. In the 70's whites started telling themselves I can't be racist, I have A black friend or I work with black people then 1980 hit.

The racism was still in these people, when lay offs started, it was blacks and womens fault ( sexism was inter linked with racism ) that the white worker found himself on unemployment, even today we hear how affirmative action gives minorities an unfair advantage in the hiring, to make it sound good and fair its promoted as being bad for the black people because they don't have to work as hard at getting a job, so basically its saying affirmative action makes blacks lazy.

Then Reagan and the welfare queen who lived in a mansion and drove brand new cars. Today we have blacks called muslum, Arab, terrorists because we are at war with brown people and all brown people are terrorists because they look the same. The new code word for black and republicons intended this out come and promoted fear of the brown man. And sadly america bought into it except for the liberals.

See racism never went anyplace, its been with us right along, its just hidden and we are unable to see it until it comes out and hits us in the face. When was the last time you heard a black joke? Did you laugh? There are still lots of those out there and I for one can't even laugh at the stupidity behind the jokes, see at one time the stupidity of the joke was funny, not the joke itself, I was laughing at the idiot telling the joke because the teller actually believed the joke was true.

Everyone has seen racism and its the same in 2008 as it was in 1868, we just don't recognize racism anymore because its hidden by code words and its no longer in the open.e

10. WELL, OF COURSE it has! When did...........
we EVER have a Black man running for President?

NEVER BEFORE, and we have had enough of racism..........ENOUGH!

Time for all those racists to FLAME OUT, with Sarah Palin, and John McCain......teach them all a lesson they should have learned in elementary school: skin color does NOT matter, character does, as Martin Luther King taught us in 1963.

11. .
I reported it to the SS field office in Seattle, and they said the site has been reported already, and they were investigating. The site owner says he didn't post the graphic. Be that as it may, the SS can track down the actual poster.

It's good to know that other people are reporting these incidents too. This is getting scary!

13. Good for you. The Secret Service has to be worried about McCain and Palin
giving tacit support at their rallies to all those republicans willing to become today's Booth or Oswald.

14. The fact that these people are costing McCain percentage pts
in the polls gives me hope. In a weird way, I think that the best thing that has happened is that these people have ripped off their masks of "average Joe America" and expose themselves for the world to see exactly what they are. Intolerant gullible bigots.

Did anyone believe that these right wing loons were going to ride quietly into the night? They know it's almost over and they're lashing out. In a few years, minority populations are going to outnumber whites for the 1st time in centuries. They are afraid of the changes that are about to happen and that it's happening sooner then they expected. They never saw Obama coming. Their fear is unwarranted, but guilt will do that to you.

These people are small but vocal segment of society and most people are repulsed by their behavior.
