My Sister Forwarded This Email To Me
It was sent to her from a union rep that is involved with workers at her company. (Sorry if this has been posted previously)

How Racism Works

What if John McCain were a former president of the Harvard Law Review?
What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class?

What if McCain were still married to the first woman he said 'I do' to?
What if Obama were the candidate who left his first wife after she no longer
measured up to his standards?

What if Michelle Obama were a wife who not only became addicted to pain killers,
but acquired them illegally through her charitable organization?
What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?

What if Obama were a member of the Keating-5*?
* The Keating Five were five United States Senators
(http://en.wikip edia.org/wiki/United_States_Senator)
accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_scandal)
as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savings_and_Loan_crisis) of the late
1980s and early 1990s.

What if McCain were a charismatic, eloquent speaker?

If these questions reflected reality, do you really believe the election numbers
would be as close as they are?

This is what racism does. It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes
positive qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative qualities in
another when there is a color difference.

PS: What if Barack Obama had an unwed, pregnant teenage daughter? What would
people be saying?

You are The Boss... which team would you hire?

With America facing historic debt, 2 wars, stumbling health care, a
weakened dollar, all-time high prison population, mortgage crises, bank
foreclosures, etc.

Educational Background:

Obama:
Columbia University - B.A. Political Science with a Specialization in
International Relations.
Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude

Biden:
University of Delaware - B.A. in History and B.A. in Political Science.
Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)

vs.

McCain:
United States Naval Academy - Class rank: 894 of 899

Palin:
Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester
North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study
University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism
Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester
University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in Journalism

Now, which team are you going to hire?

12. Racism, yes, but this is also a MSM-narrative problem. For example...
you could write a similar email about Gore versus Bush, or Kerry versus Bush. You know, like "What if Bush had championed the internet, and Gore was a coke-snorting frat boy?" Or "What if Bush had a purple heart, and Kerry had a cushy national-guard spot and couldn't even be bothered to show up for that?"

Even now, with their governing theories going down in flames all about us, the GOP gets relatively cushy coverage in the MSM. If they got objective coverage, they'd have to hide in their houses from the pitchforks and torches.

13. That's true. The racism certainly doesn't help of course, but the disparity
between their respective qualifications is so enormous that I'd be surprised if 10% of the voters vote for them. Not that that would necessarily be reflected in the ballot returns, of course. Let's hope your people are getting on top of it.

15. OMG I've never seen Palin's whole list of colleges before...
North Idaho College and Matanuska-Susitna College are both two-year institutions.

I kinda figured MatSu College would have a certificate in Hydroponic Agriculture, considering it's one of the biggest industries in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, but I guess you need to learn THAT on your own.

33. Au contraire, it is president, not editor
See the bio section of Obama's senate website or visit the Harvard Law Review's site. Obama was the first African American president of the Review. The first African American member of its board of editors was Charles Hamilton Houston, Class of 1922, cum laude--a key member of Thurgood Marshal's braintrust in Brown v, Topeka, Kansas, the landmark 1954 school desegregation case.

28. The global economy, domestic policy, and foreign policy are complex beyond belief.
Why the f*ck would we want anyone who wasn't in the top 1% of their class?

But some people (mostly Republicans) think:

"He's a guy I can have a beer with and talk with at a barbecque"

Who the f*ck cares?!?!?!?!?

Hey, my best friend is totally awesome when it comes to talking about sports, beer, and gambling (i.e. poker and going to Las Vegas).

However, said friend is also a total dumbf*ck when it comes to financial and economic matters. He also is so freaking simple minded and ignorant when it comes to other countries it's laughable.

Why the f*ck would I want someone like that, who has trouble even balancing his own goddamned checkbook, running a country of 300 million people?

Because he's a good drinking buddy? F*ck no!!!!!!

Give me the smartest muthaf*cker you can find and put him/her in charge!

We've already had 8 years of a drunken chimp in charge. How about we try someone who can string two coherent sentences together back-to-back?

31. With conservatives, stupid is the "new" smart
They don't want extraordinary intellect. Mediocrity is preferred because it makes a candidate appear to be "just like us". Issues are no longer complex, since they can be easily solved by listening to "common sense" talk radio hosts, or by repeating simplistic talking points. If a candidate possesses impeccable academic credentials, or speaks thoughtfully without resorting to personal attack, they are "elitist". In looking at McCain-Palin campaign footage it becomes apparent that many of their supporters are ignorant to the point of not even suspecting it, making it possible for them to lend support to someone as vacuous as Sarah Palin, in much the same way that they had backed sub-mediocrities like Bush II, Quayle, or Reagan the great cue card communicator.

32. that is hysterical that the spouses have more education than
the mccain/palin ticket. never thought about that. what if obama had a pregnant teenage high school drop out daughter being forced to marry her unemployed high school drop out teen boyfriend. i have never seen such a high profile person that doesn't care about the education of her child. if she doesn't care about her child's education, will they make your child's education a priority?
