The poll isn't one of the 5 articles. They are all separate articles specifically focused on Obama's race and its effect in a variety of locations and situations.

http://www.nytimes.com/

...Whatever....

He's up 53% to 39%, so let's fret over whether white people will vote for him. Ignore the fact that he is getting a LARGER percentage of the white vote (in the new NYT/CBS poll) then either Gore or Kerry did.

None of them are uplifting stories on breaking a barrier or the positive impact on the African American community or Black kids or the wonderful message it would send to the world, etc. Nope. None of that happy stuff.

None of them are damaging to Obama's chances or anything but I'm sick to death of the negative mantra which CNN has been beating to a pulp over the past couple of weeks which now the NYT takes over.

The irony of their focus at the same time as their poll shows Obama absolutely kicking ass in all categories just seems bizarre.

I guess they are just going to do the same thing they did after Obama won the Iowa caucuses - just be shocked and surprised even though the polls showed Obama ahead. Well, they need to prepare themselves because it is going to happen again.

1. So when they stuff the ballot boxes in Ohio and PA and elsewhere....
it'll just go to show you that the "Bradley Effect" proves that 2/3 of whites will lie to pollsters. :eyes:
