"spread the wealth around." This phrase has been pounced upon by the corporate-welfare-loving right
who stole 2 trillion dollars from the US Treasury THIS YEAR ALONE. They steal our tax dollars, then claim they shouldn't have to pay more taxes.

SICKENING.

1. The truly funny thing
is that changing tax rates does not "spread the wealth around". It only allows workers to "keep more of their wages". No one is proposing to take dollars from the wealthy and hand them to me. Of course, the "keeping more of your money" meme can only be applied by the right wing when the wealthy derive most of the benefits. Anything less is "class warfare".

Those who benefit the most from a free market (the wealthy) are simply being asked to contribute a bit more to its maintenance costs. Paying taxes is in fact the most patriotic thing most people in this country are ever asked to do, and many who tout their "patriotism" refuse to do so on any chance they get.

2. would they rather have constipated "wealth" ?
because that's what we have now - it's all stuck at the top. wealth is the fuel of the economy - if it's not flowing no one is going

even the "trickle down" theory depends on wealth flowing (or trickling) from the top to the bottom.
