I Don’t Like Her, I Really Don’t Like Her
Since the day John McCain revealed his Veep choice
and I posted my tongue-in-cheek opinion titled
“I Like Her, I Really Like Her”, much has come
out about Governor Palin, despite their campaign
refusing to answer serious questions from much
of the press. She’s shown that she isn’t a moral
leader when it comes to telling the truth.
She doesn’t seem, as a professed Christian,
to be treating her neighbors as herself.
She isn’t intellectually prepared for all
of the current challenges facing this country,
nor does she seem interested in learning.
The governor hasn broken the law
in her dealings with her ex brother-in-law and
there are questions around how and with whose
money her family’s home in Wasilla was built.
She seems to be an example of our do and say
anything culture that rewards lying, cheating,
stealing to get ahead…winning by any means.
These last eight years we’ve had such an immoral
administration and I would have thought that alone
would have turned voters away from more of the same.
Bush and Cheney certainly lowered the bar to the extent
we’d have persons like McCain and Palin running for the highest offices.

So, I don’t like her, and I don’t like John McCain
or his campaign for not choosing the best for us,
but someone worse than himself.
I wouldn’t want her as a friend, a drinking buddy
or the next Vice President of the United States.

2. She's got all the intellectual capacity needed
to run a Chamber of Commerce office but not much else.

3. I haven't liked her from Day 1 either, but now I find her dangerous.
I am not a hater by nature. It just isn't me. I'm not an overly emotive person, period. In my entire life, there is only one person that I have truly, and still do, hate. But I find myself feeling tinges of those emotions when I see her or hear her screechy voice.

She spews and radiates hate, insincerity, self-indulgence, and the total me, me, me philosophy. Her comments and acceptance of what others say at her rallies are unacceptable to me. She is a divider and a spreader of hate and illogical division.

If I can feel hate toward her and her mindless supporters, and encourages the same toward "others" (and you'd have to be blind not to understand what she really means by that) from these same supporters, those more emotional than I, certainly have to pick up those dangerous and destructive emotions.

We have come so far in this country in our history as far as tolerance, equality, and acceptance. We have a long way to go, certainly, but she is a giant step backward, and that is the last thing this country and its people need.

4. I liked her for a minute or two.
But then the cheering died down and she started speaking. I haven't liked her since.
