I find it fascinating that Obama is attacked for his associations yet those who do the attacking never notice how broad and diverse his associations are, demonstrations that Obama is always willing to consider the views of people who do not think or look like him - while, on the other hand, McCain never seems to be around anyone a shade darker than light olive and doesn't seem to ever have any meaningful interactions with anyone of a different race.
The latter in a president is much more troubling than the possibility that a president might "associate" with an unsavory character.
