The Media Drive For A Horse Race Is Working To Obama's ADVANTAGE
One of the main concerns about a candidate leading by huge percentages in the polls prior to the election would be complacency amongst that candidate's supporters.

Obama leads by 14 points in the latest CBS/NYT poll, however, both media outlets have been pushing the memes the rest of the MSM have been pushing to drive the horse race.

The daily tracking polls have solidified, but ACORN is in the news big so there are hundreds of thousands of people who may find out they aren't registered.

These memes that the media hopes will drive a real horse race will only insure Obama supporters come out in droves.

Heck, they're even down to reporting how their reporting might tighten the race.

With the base of Obama support still reeling from 2000 and 2004, I think complacency won't be an issue this year.

2. AND the MSM is doing ACORN a favor by calling attention to those who ACORN has fired
and hopefully those individuals will be investigated and prosecuted, which is EXACTLY what ACORN has been calling for! I am sure that those individuals who were filling out bogus registrations were repukes.. and I want their names in the news!! I hope the MSM keeps pushing the issue so those names get announced on EVERY news network!

4. Yep, but the rightwingnuts in teh media are in a rage about it
and it will be their new meme after Obama wins.

Get ready for "Acorn stole the election for Obama."

Hannity will definitely go down that road. I can guarantee it.

3. They are indeed making it worse
and suppressing the real causes for populist rage and desire masks the fact this is much more a situation that cries for a great candidate than the Reagan puffery. I hope the MSM pressure cooker lid explodes in a nice prolonged fashion right up to election day in such a way as to virtually cancel out any conceivable election fraud. That would be utter irony better than the fairness doctrine itself and loop Rovian politics against itself.
