Sarah Palin says Obama running against Bush, complains it's getting "tiresome"
Your President has approval ratings lower than Nixon's during Watergate, Governor. The American people loathe and despise this Administration. Damn right Obama should point out we would be electing Bush II this November.

Palin says Obama running against Bush, not McCain, complains that it's getting tiresome

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Tuesday said Barack Obama is running as though his opponent is President Bush instead of John McCain. She called it a strategy that's "wearing pretty thin."

Addressing several hundred supporters at a fundraiser, the Alaska governor said voters know McCain as a political maverick and war hero and that Obama is trying too hard to link the Arizona senator to the unpopular GOP president.

"Our opponents spend so much time pretending they are running against the current president. I think it's wearing pretty thin," Palin said, without mentioning Bush's name. "The American people are really waking up and saying no, the status quo is not one of the boxes to check."

She added, "That's what our opponents are afraid of. That more and more Americans are remembering who John McCain is."

Palin and McCain appeared with their spouses at the event for the Republican Victory Fund, where guests paid as much as $28,500 to support the presidential ticket and other GOP candidates. The fundraiser was expected to net at least $8 million for the party.

McCain also has taken steps to distance himself from Bush in recent days. The Arizona senator debuted a new stump speech this week in which he pledged to fix the economy, saying "we cannot spend the next four years as we have spent much of the last eight, waiting for our luck to change."

1. She basically opened the door to Obama saying "I mention Bush so often
because McCain and Bush are so ideologically identical I have a hard time telling who I'm running against!"

12. Yes, Sarah, more and more Americans are remembering that McSlime voted
with Bush 90% of the time. McSlime is the status quo.

21. It is tiring and she is NOW doing commercials for people here in PA
I heard her god-awful shreaking voice yesterday afternoon in an ad as I was coming home from work. She was hawking some repuke running for some office (the commercial didn't say which... Congress? State legislature? County/Municipal something?), in some state (here in Philly, we are the market for SE PA, NJ, and DE, so the guy could have been running in any of these). I was :puke:

19. The McCain video, where McCain himself says,
he voted 90% of the time with Bush, should be played now until election day repeatedly. Obama keeps linking McCain to Bush and McCain keeps denying it. Let the video play out. It's pretty hard for McCain to disagree with his own words. That is a comment McCain wishes he never said and it's on video!
