FRONTLINE: Obama and McCain (Choice '08) - FULL VIDEO ONLINE Here
For those who missed the excellent Frontline piece about the biography of Obama and McCain then here it is in its entirety:

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/choice2008/view/

I found both their stories very interesting...McCain had to sell his soul to the devil...Ouch! Poor McCain seemed to be a good man but was forced to do evil things to get where he is and is now nothing.

As for Obama he really loves to help those in need...Very genuine figure.

Quite fascinating both their stories. Well done PBS!

1. I was surprised to find out how Obama won that seat by vetting a petition
only to find improper signatures, invalidating it. He checked the petition from his opponent which was also invalid. He won that election unopposed.

I really didn't think he had that in him. It gave me hope that he won't allow his kindness to be taken for weakness. It was interesting to watch although I do feel they were a little soft on McCain.

2. well it is PBS and they aren't going to be partisan.
I do see the sympathetic side for McCain--but his judgement has just been so bad politically--talk about flip-flopping all over the place! And nobody calls him on it. He really gets what he deserves. He's ruined his brand that he built up all those years by running to the right. What gave him the idea that if he ran a campaign just like Bush that he'd win? He's fighting the last campaign, isn't he.

Obama is so forward-looking! Wow. A planner, anticipating almost everything that's happened this season. The only thing he didn't plan for was Rev. Wright--but even there he applied himself and recovered.

Best phrase of the evening: "he's got a velvet glove covering a steel fist" !

3. Obama more solid and smarter than I dared hope- love Frontline
And McCains POW footage is priceless: smoking tobacco with his captors, the 'little prince'. Say what you will--big brass monkey balls not to fly home right away when first offered. Five years is five years.

Loved the Obama 'community organizing': he used that and a fresh BA as credentials to get into Harvard Law TWENTY YEARS AGO!. In other words clearly at the very beginning of his career. He is so qualified to manage the US presidency it isn't funny. All the opposition can bring itself to admit is his community organizer experience? That would be like homing in on Palin's waitressing (did she?)"Able to handle large orders from diverse diners" yeesh.

Obama will be a great president-
