The RNC just borrowed $5mil to use between now and the election, but you would be mistaken if you believe any significant portion of it will be spent on McCain/Palin.

The RNC game plan is to try and rescue enough seats in the Senate to prevent the DEMS from getting to a 60 vote majority(filibuster proof).

They also are trying to hold strategic seats in the House to provide a base to work from in trying to surge in 2010 and 2012. If enough long-time Repub House members lose this election cycle it will be extremely difficult to rebuild the Repub Party base.

1. Are there any limits on how much a political party can borrow?
What if a bank wanted to lend the RNC $500 million instead of $5 million?

2. I find it to be hilarious...
that the RNC was bragging about how much money they had back when McCain got the nomination. So much more than the DNC, they had said.

lol

Neither Ayers nor ACORN look to be game changers, and it's highly improbable that McSame will change much at tonight's debate.

The RNC knows they have 5 Senate seats that they are losing but--- maybe --can still salvage (MN, OR, AK, NH, NC), and they know, too, that they need to shore up MS and GA (and maybe even TX). I also think they're going to make a late run at SD (a seat believed to be safe, but Dykstra is running a bunch of TV trying to tie Tim Johnson to the banking scandal -- and Johnson had an aneurysm last year if you recall).
