Here's the guy who claims Jesse Jackson said that about Israel
Amir Taheri:

It was in 1989 that Taheri was first exposed as a journalistic felon. (snip) Taheri cited nonexistent sources, concocted nonexistent substance in cases where the sources existed and distorted the substance beyond recognition when it was present. Taheri "repeatedly refers us to books where the information he cites simply does not exist... Often the documents cannot be found in the volumes to which he attributes them....

(Much more on stuff Taheri made up out of thin air)

Over the years Taheri has been caught making up sources, making up quotes, taking quotes out of context, and misquoting his own articles as sources. He has claimed that Obama negotiated with Iraq to delay troop withdrawals to make Bush look bad, that Iran required Jews to wear yellow stars, that the Iranian ambassador to the UN was one of the hostage takers in Iran and refused to write a retraction when a professor from San Francisco State proved that the ambassador had been his graduate student in San Francisco at the time Taheri claimed he was in Iran...

Here's the infamous quote from the current scandal Taheri has created:

The most important change would occur in the Middle East, where "decades of putting Israel's interests first" would end.

Jackson believes that, although "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades" remain strong, they'll lose a great deal of their clout when Barack Obama enters the White House.

----------

Notice where he places the quotes, and how many of those words are Taheri's, not Jackson's.

We don't know what Jackson said, and Taheri has done a good job of keeping it from us.
