RNC Stops Ad Buys In Wisconsin
Edited on Wed Oct-15-08 12:47 PM by ClarkUSA
WisPolitics.com reports that the Republican National Committee's independent expenditure arm is going dark next week in Wisconsin, a sign that the state's competitiveness isn't being picked up by the RNC IE's polling...

The decision comes amid speculation on whether Republicans may pull back in Wisconsin after several polls in the past week
showed Obama up over John McCain by double digits. An RNC spokesman referred calls to the party’s independent expenditure operation, which is in charge of the TV ad buys.

An official with the party’s IE arm did not immediately return a call from WisPolitics seeking comment.

Yesterday, Obama moved his Michigan staffers to Indiana. And now this.

:woohoo:

1. Rumors are that McCain's pulling out of Wisconsin.

10. Didn't hear that, but he did say that the RNC is diverting WI McCain ad $$ to CO and MO.
Whatever is happening, it's clear that McCain is now officially playing political whack-a-mole in heretofore Bush states. :)

20. Really strong here in the NE part of the state. The ground game is incredible.
Obama has a well oiled machine set up here staffed by lots of passionate, dedicated, and enthusiatic folks that are spreading the word and will get out the vote.

15. "Goodbye Wisconsin"
a blatant reference to, and ripoff from, That 70's Show, the last decade that McCain might have had any relevance.

18. This is turning into the last few turns of a game of RISK
where the losing army keeps retreating and giving up big chunks of land, hoping to stay alive by consolidating forces in one area, while the dominant army just sort of conquers at will with a few rolls of the dice, and keeps building strength.

I love that part of the game when I'm winning. :)

19. Great for us, but McCain's campaign is still advertising in Wisconsin
They may end up following the RNC's lead, but for now not all republican ads about the presidential race are out of Wisconsin.
